So my hair is mainly straight with a few twists at the end sometimes but i wanted to go really curly for a change, like full on. So I got myself a curling iron, the ceramic variety, 3/4" curl around, Conair. Anyway, I Googled on how to go about curling my hair and found some nice tips...but I want some first hand tips from you all here...
I mean it read you got to path your hair, tie the different groups of hair separately and then start curling...
The pathing would be easy for me, I used to style my hair alot in high school, but how do I even begin to curl my hair in the back of my head?! It didn't really explain how to do that...so any tips from you gals that curl your own hair, with a curling iron?

i used to have this ceramic curling iron just a few months ago but then i decided to get rid of it because its not a good use for me really. i have the same problem like you, its hard to curl the back side. so everytime my hubby wants my hair curled i ask him to curl the back side for me cuz theres no way that i can do it myself. my hubby loves my hair when its curly cuz i have a long and straight hair and sometimes he wants to my hair with a style though he doesn't like it permanently curled. i just got tired of doing it cuz it takes a lot of time so i decided to take it back to the store where i bought it and refund my money back.

Ah, so I may have to get someone to do the back for me. My dad did say that but i told him I'd keep practicing till I can do my whole head and for it to look decent enough to leave the house with.
I actually just want it for days when I feel like having a different hairstyle myself too.

The only way I was ever able to hold a curl in my hair was to get a perm put in. I tried several times using a curling iron and rollers, but it never held longer than two minutes.

Hi angel,
i was thinking to use curlers but I don't think I'd be able to handle that, my hair would probably get all tangled in them when I am taking it off.
I honestly just want it to be temporary like for one day which is why I won't go to a hair dresser to get it done, unless it was a special occasion.
Thanks for the response
