The unclean phone that is never cleaned..

Do you usually wash your phone off after using it? I do all the time. When I would be at my in laws house, the phone was always dirty. If my mother-in-law was to hand me the phone or if I was to go and get the phone. The phone would have some kind of dirty residue on it from her ear. It was so disgusting. The ear piece would feel very greasy. So since then I will wash the phone off with some alcohol. Have you ever used a phone to find out that it was dirty? I also hate it when I would use the phone after another person, and it would have this sour scent behind it..

cream_ oh, that is a disturbing thought. I worked with a woman who sanitized her phone every time she returned to her desk, just in case someone used it.
I thought it was kinda weird at the time, but after this discussion, I think the woman was really smart.
I only have my cell, and no uses it except me and I think I keep my ears clean_

That is good. I always clean my ears too.. I don't know why my mil would not clean her ears.. To see the stuff that came off of her ears were enough to convince me that she does not properly clean her ears at all.. The dirt residue is always on the phone after she uses it..

I always clean any and every phone that I'm about to use.. before using it. I hate being dirty or dealing with things that are especially if they are someone else's things. If it was mine and it was somewhat dirty it would bother me but not as much as if it was someone else's phone and it was dirty as I was going to use it.

i agree that cleaning our phones have been greatly overlooked, especially in very busy establishments let us not forget that the phone is oftentimes the catcher of all the moisture from the user's mouth, invcluding everything that comes with it diseases and all. so to at least prevent any contamination, i try as much as i can to place a pice of tissue soaked in rubbing alchohol, that way it more or less kills the germs and gets rid of any foul smell

I just checked my phone battery this morning, I could believe what I saw-I think my phone is probably the dirtiest in the world!

I only have a cell phone so not to dirty. But I have wiped it down on occasion when i see dirt. The phone can harbor many germs as most dont wash them.

yea,my mom does that.
i picked up the phone one time and it was so gross i just threw it out and got her a new one.couldn't believe she hadn't noticed

i have this funny habit of smelling the phone first before cleaning it hihi. i do clean the phone before i use it as well as fixing the cord from being screwed up before i start pushing those buttons.

I only use my own phone and wipe it down when I think of it, which isn't often. I can see where you'd be really grossed out by you mil's phone. My phone mostly gets dusty!

Yes I do wash my phone over...I often find that hwere it gets held to the ears it gets all greasy ...and the keys are full of dust..I not only wash the phone over lol ...i also wash the remote controls over too ...as hubby has a habit of dropping his choccy all over them and making them sticky!!

I do clean my phone all by myself each time after using it. Obviously, I'm fortunate as I do not need to use a shared phone anymore.

its a common thing on telephones if there are so many different users...yes i did that when we have still a landline years back..but since the emergence of cellphone we decided to cut it off since all of us have one and we think it will be useless for us...1 person likes this

I hold the thing a close to my ear as possible without it touching, that's probably why cell phones are so popular, only your ear touches it, nobody elses. YUK!

Hey Cream,
I usually will use a clorox wipe or a wipe of the sort. Back growing up we had a white phone and my dad would get print marks all over it , and Id always be the one to clean it, becuse it didnt seem to bother anyone .
I dont clean the phone each time I use it , but a few times a week . If it is sticky or something then I will ;)
