Probably two of the most common and typical types of pet are cats and dogs. So which one do you prefer?
I have a dog named Yoshii and I'm proud to say that I'm a dog lover. Well, dogs are man's bestfriends after all. They can protect you and offer you a sense of happiness at the same time. ^^

Well I am 56 years old I used to be a dog lover all my life . I owned and raised dogs all my life. But I became disabled, and I could no longer care for them, so when my last dog passed away about 6 years ago, I was very lonely because I live alone, can not work, and am home all the time. there was a lovely calico cat in the neighborhood I befriended her, gained her trust. Her name was Diamond. She moved in with me and became my loyal companion.Cats are very independant, they will go to the bathroom in a litter box, no need to leave them out doors in the middle of the night. They do not bark or grawl.you do not have to bath them, they are soft and cuddly, they lay with you on the couch and bed. They love to be hugged and kissed.Love to play, make you laugh, Cheer you up when you are blue. You can leave them at home for extendeed periods of time with plenty of food and water. When you are gone, they are waithing for you are the front door when you return. My cat lays on my computer dask by my mouse. When you pet them they Purr, it relieves your stress.

I too own cats. I like dogs too, but as you say there is alot less work with cats. I live on the second floor and would find it hard going up and down. Cats are all that you say. You described them perfectly.

Where I live my landlord does not allow pets of any kind in the apartment building, I love dogs. The only reason I haven't moved out of here yet is because the rents are too expensive else where in my neighborhood. As soon as I can take care of a few things I will be relocating out of State and moving down by my brother in FL. I am not allowed to have any pets, no washing machine, no dryer, no dishwasher they don't even allow garbage disposals. I have lived in apartments in my area my whole life and have been without all of these things because of the restrictions. I went to visit a friend a few years ago in Maryland and he had a garbage disposal and I had never seen one in my life, I was fascinated by it and must have stood there looking down that drain hole for about 30 minutes, all my friend could do was laugh. A dishwasher - you mean there is actually a machine that washes dishes? LOL A few thing are holding me back but as soon as possible I will be getting out of here, I need to live somewhere where I can enjoy some of life's modern convenience's.

Aww... that's a lot of restrictions. I see... I hope you do find a good place where you could enjoy things that you haven't. And that's probably a lot of life's modern conveniences... Hehe. Sometimes restrictions make us miss fun and significant things in life. When you get to have a dog come tell us your story. That'd be cool. Thank you for your response!

I love both dogs and cats but I would rather have a cat as a pet as they are more independent. You will not have to get up in the middle of a rainstorm in the middle of the night to let a cat outside and you can leave a cat home alone longer than you can a dog. I do really like dogs too but I like them as other peoples pets.
