I love Starbucks, do you?

My Starbucks has finally rolled out the new wi-fi plan where if you have a Starbucks card, you can get 2 hours of internet access a day for free, as long as you use your card every 30 days. Since I got my card free from Mypoints, it is an extra bargain. I was also looking at the other deals they have if you have a gift card, and they are pretty good: free coffee/iced coffee refill, free coffee with bean purchase, free additions to your coffee. Right now I am also enjoying my free iced coffee they have on Wednesdays this summer. I loved Starbucks anyway, but I think I have found my new home, until I find a job. :)

xD Starbucks...wow...I think starbucks is okay, although I much do prefer my Godiva chocolixers. I've noticed that Starbucks is appearing frequently around itself, though. For instance: starting from the mall I usually go to, there is a starbucks within the mall itself. Followed by another that is by the drive-way leading out-of/into the mall, alongside of which is a Barnes and Noble that has a Starbucks within it, and across the street is a Target which just had a Starbucks put in...Sure, it's a great buisness, but do that many people really want that much coffee that frequently? o.0

Yes, I think that is overkill. I think they will find eventually that they are competing with themselves, in addition to other coffee shops, and will end up closing some stores. There are a lot of areas where there are no Starbucks, they should focus on those instead of trying to open one on every block in certain areas

Hi,
I never went to Starbucks before because the drinks are quite expensive. I heard from my friends and they say 1 cup of coffee cost RM15.00 which is considered very expensive for me.
I can have coffee at RM1.00 to RM2.00 at normal coffee shop. Maybe I will go to try Starbucks coffee when I am rich.

Hi,
Yeah, you are right, the price is different and it is really expensive if I want to have coffee at Starbucks. Maybe it is due to the currency exchange that causes the coffee at Starbucks so expensive.
If I have a lot of extra money, then I would go to Starbucks to try.

Wow that is a big difference in cost! The price difference between Starbucks and other coffee is not as great in the U.S., at least if you get regular hot or iced coffee. Of course the specialty drinks cost much more.

I've never been to Maxie Java, pretty sure we don't have that in NJ, but if I ever see one, I'll give it a try.

Oh, I know...here in the U.S. (at least near me) you can get a large iced coffee at Starbucks for a little under $3, which is not much more than other places (about $2.40 at Dunkin Donuts), but even so I cannot buy it every day. Plus, the fancier drinks cost a lot more, and throw in a piece of cake or a sandwich and it is very easy to spend $10. While I wasn't working, I would go twice a week and sit with laptop and 1 iced coffee for 3-4 hours! But due to cutting back on calories and spending, I do not get my favorite drinks, the Frappucinos, though I am dying to try the new mint one.

Sorry. I think Starmuck's is foul. I can't drink coffee so I am exposed to Starmuck's tea and quite honestly it's a health hazard. Quite revolting, made from tea leaves with a Politikally Korrekt brand name instead of with good tea, and made with warm water instead of boiling water so it tastes repulsive. Yuck! I ordered a cup of tea at Starmuck's in London Heathrow a few days ago and I just left it there standing on the counter. It was so awful that I couldn't even be bothered taking it to my table.
That a company operating in England can find staff who cannot make tea properly beggars belief. Everybody who doesn't work for Starmuck's makes tea properly.

Ah, well I am not much of a tea drinker, so I have never ordered tea there, and can't really say much about their tea. But, it should definitely be hot. I would have sent it back.

I like The Second Cup much better than I like Starbucks. Starbucks coffee makes me jumpy. The one thing that I do like from Starbucks, s their peppermint hot chocolate.

I have never been to Second Cup, but next time I am in Canada, I will give it a try. I hear good things about it. Around me, there aren't a lot of places to choose from for some reason, and it's not like I live in the boonies or anything.
Peppermint hot chocolate is really good! And you can get it all year, even though they take it off the menu. :)

I know what you mean! I will go in and stand and stare at the board like an idiot for several minutes, even if I was just there a few days ago!
I do like their mugs as well. They often have some on clearance, so I've bought a couple. I like to have different mugs on my desk at work, and they sell some cute ones.
