SWATCash: Is it worth moving your base?

I've been on SWATCash for something like a week now, maybe a bit over, and so far I'm finding it a good way to make a reasonably steady income, as well as being fun. The first few days were productive, I found plenty of goodies on the World Map, and earned enough SWATCash to buy a walkie talkie and some offensive/defensive gear. The last couple of days have been a bit dry on the World Map though, I've hardly found anything. I've got enough SC to move my base to another part of the map, but would this be worthwhile, or should I just plod on until I've eventually accumulated enough BP to convert into SC so I can buy my next walkie talkie? Has anyone ever done this? Do certain parts of the map get "mined out" and other continents remain productive? I'll carry on with SWATCash come what may, because I find the PTC and Offers sections very good, but I want to learn how to operate most efficiently on the World Map too.
