What sports if any did you play in school?

I didn't play any. I wish I had. I wanted to be on the volleyball team. I probably would have been much thinner than I was as a kid if I had been able to. There were two things in my way. We didn't have the money for it and the biggest reason, any time I got comfortable in a school enough to want to join a team, we moved. Never failed.

I was very active in school through junior high and high school. I had alot of conflicts though which was one of my problems but was able to overcome alot of them. I played volleyball, hockey, football, soccer, softball, track, indoor track along with track and field days as well. We did a track and field day at least once a month. As well as doing all these I was also a cheerleader so I was always on the go with something.

And there is nothing wrong with that. It does make me tired to think about it. How ever did you find time to study?

It was my choice to be in them. My parents weren't at all corcerned. My siblings were like me as well. My parents always said that we had alot of drive to do things that we dreamed and wanted to do.

I have little field certificates from the end of the school year field activities. You know, where they take a day off school and you go out into the football (soccer to you I think) field and have you run, long jump, and other various things. That is the extent of my school activities. I started photo club one year, but.... we moved.

I was incredibly active in sports when I was in school. In junior high, I participated in a sport a season: cross country running in the fall, basketball & was the manager of the Girls' volleyball team in the winter, and track and field in the fall. I ran track and cross country to keep me in-shape for football, which I played in a rec league outside of school in the summers. Then, in high school, I limited my sports to football and running track; it was harder because of all the different extra-curricular things I was involved in during high school, different clubs and committees and such, but I still enjoyed playing football; it was a sport I played since I was a little kid in Pop Warner (maybe 7 or 8 years of age).

I was thinking of encouraging my son that way. Pick a sport a season and maybe one other activity if he wants.

I didn't play any "school" sports. I hated school too much to wanna be there any longer then i had to be but sometimes our teacher in the 6th grade would take us out and our class would play football. I also played a lot of street football and hockey.

Yeah, school was a big problem for me too. The only tolerable parts were english classes and that is because I love language.

I played basketball, football, and baseball in high school. Playing sports opened a ton of doors for me, and now I play baseball for my college.

This is what I am hoping for my kids. I want them to have so many more opportunities than I did.

I was ok with basketball. I just had to remember where my sweet spot was. You know, the spot you know you can make the shot from. Mostly I did off court basketball.

I wanted to join the hockey team, but they said that I was too small-sized. So I took up squash. Enjoyed it very much, until one day during a competition I almost hit my opponent, who didn't have the sense to stand behind me - we were all taught never to get in the way. Anyway, after that, I gave up the game and didn't take up any others!
