Does your husband read at all? Mine is a huge reader so I am making him a book mark with a picture of our daughter on it. It's something small that I can send him since he is deployed right now. He reads every night so it will be something he can look at everyday and think of his baby girl. Plus, I love making gifts because it makes them seem so much more personable. Good luck figuring something out!

he does, a lot actually ... only i can't give him a bookmark w/ my baby's pics because we had that as our invitation card on our baby's christening... so he has seen it before.

The fiance and I don't have any kids so we don't get anything for eachother on those days. This year for fathers day I am taking him to a wedding so that really takes up most of the day. We are really celebrating on Saturday with a family BBQ. I will be picking up a bunch of hamburgers, weiners, steaks etc for that day. As a gift I picked him up a new BBQ. Something that he loves doing in the summer as it is awesome weather for the BBQ and he needs another one. I am sure he will be trying it out on the family BBQ day.

i'm sure your fella will enjoy it, mine did, i gave him a new BBQ last year for father's day... and we have used it in total of ...once! last year hehehe... i blame the weather ... because its not always nice if we are off work or whenever we thought we'd have a BBQ that day the weather will always turn nasty...

We use the BBQ alot. And when I say alot I mean alot. We use it year around. Rain or shine, Snow or sleet. We got a canopy desgined specially for the BBQ to protect it.

Well, I already gave my husband his fathers day gift. We have a big yard that takes about 3 hours each week to mow and weed whack..he works full time plus is in school...he doesn't like me having to do the yard work because I have two small children and can't leave them alone to cut grass....
So....this summer I hired someone to cut our grass each week so he doesn't have to do it. He thought that was the best gift ever... LOL

i'm not sure if my hubby will be happy if i hire someone to cut the grass because he looks like he is really enjoying himself when he is @ the garden fiddling w/ stuff. i'm not a greenthumb myself and i don't understand any of it. Thanks anyway... it could be a good tip for someone else reading this thread.

Hubbs already got his early. He's been hinting and hounding out right for a dewalt drill. There was a major sale on the 18 volt dewalt drill he wanted (these are 300 to 400 dollar drills, it was on sale for 140) and he got one yesterday for an early papa day present.
Major power tool fanatic!
