A biblical question: Do crazy people who commit suicide go to heaven?

As a hypothetical situation. John Smith is mentally unstable, hearing voices and seeing things decides to take his own life. Now from what I've read suicides do not gain entrance into the kingdom of heaven. But does not being in "your right state of mind" give you a free pass? Would the suicide still count?

I think it would depend on the person's entire life. If they did bad things and harmed other beings conciously most of their life, I don't think they deserve to go to heaven, but if they were truly insane, and could not control themselves I think they should be accepted.

I seriously doubt this man's soul would be banned from entering heaven because he was ill and not in control of himself. I don't believe he had his God given free will at the time so why should he be punished for an act he could not control?

Hmmm... but would it be heaven if it was filled with insane people? i'd much rather believe the powers that be accept people who sacrifice thier own life for the common good, than the insane who could be quite arguably be possessed with innate evil. Just food for thought.
