So, I lost 20 pounds a few months ago and then I lost 2o more. Now, my problem is willpower. I can not stick to my diet and exercise plan. I need to get my mind set to be healthy again. The urge to eat bad foods are when I'm bored and stressed. I need ideas on how to avoid those times.

Remember, the whold idea behind all of this that will make it successful is that you change your mind more than your body. It should be a lifestyle change that you go after more than a new body. Think to yourself that you feel better than ever and you want to exercise to keep feeling okay. I lost about 25 pounds mainly by decreasing my food intake a bit and EXERCISE. Without exercise it doesn't matter, you will put it all back on. I still eat a cookie or potato chips if I feel the need but I don't go overboard or eat too much of it. Moderation is the key. Hope this helps. One more thing...for years after giving birth, I struggled with getting my metabolism back up. The only thing that helped was regular exercise both cardio and weights. :) You came this far! That should be applauded!

I'm the most successful when I'm too busy to stop and munch. That makes it hard to eat properly or exercise, too, though. If anyone has a really good answer, PLEASE pass it along!

I've found that the best way to avoid those urges is to only have healthy things around me. I have a weakness for cookies, so I spend a little extra money each month on prepackaged, individual bags of cookies. Then there's no 'just one more...' before I end up finishing off a package. I think you should indulge yourself once in awhile, but I wonder if you can't find substitutes for those 'bad' foods that are healthier for you. Good luck and congratulations on losing so much weight! I think it's great that you recognize that you need support and need to find a good solution to keeping it off.
