"Dear Abby"...we've heard of it before. It was a column in the newspaper where people wrote to some woman about their problems and she in turn wrote her opinion on the matters. She must have been really popular because she's a household name.
But, my daughter recieved a book called "How to be a Lady" for her birthday and to be honest, I've horded the book for myself until I'm done reading it.
Here's the best advice I've ever read...and I want to pass it to you:
"A lady knows that the ability to provide an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on is one of the greatest gifts she can give a friend."
What about you, what's the best advice you've ever read?

hmmm, I may have to say, what I just read! In your post.. as that's some very good advice! It's hard to think of any much better! Maybe "look before you leap!" - that sounds like sound advice

Flowerchilde, yes indeed, very sound advice. That one tends to hold a multiple situations. I've wished I've looked into something (a business, relationship, things like that) before I went into it. I've also wished I've looked into a pool of water before I lept ontop of one of my children. Lucky for me I didn't kill them. *lol*

I have read a thought that, "Never take a decision when you are angry".. As soon as i read i remmebered all the decision taken when i was angry and i felt that it was not totally right decision. So whenever i am angry and have a burden or pressure to do something . i Just take a break of few min and then decide.. enjoy :)

Ahhh...that one. The best one I've made thus far when mad was when my ex and I were arguing last Thanksgiving day and he was getting on my nerves. I said to him, "I'm leaving you!" At the time, he didn't think I was serious. Seeing that there is no man sleeping in my bed, I would hazard to say that I was very serious.
True, though. Like the man in my life and I talked about last night, we're both the same. When we're angry or upset about something, we're careful on what we say and how we say it. We don't want something said that would be regretted later. Then, I joked to him by saying that when we're mad at each other, it might be hours before one of us says something.
But, good imput on how you deal with the situation. Too bad not many other people follow it. I'm sure we'd have less road rage and other bad things happening these days.
