what traits of a teacher do students really appreciate?

I think in the point of giving impact on students,a teacher should be honesty and upright,this is the most important.Besides provide knowledge, having no impact on students is not the worst but giving bad effects.So as a teacher he or she should be honset and upright. Then the second is that a teacher should always encourage his or her students coz thes students encouraged by a teacher will have strong motivation to learn harder.

well....besides the ability to make a subject seem easy to students, a good teacher should fulfil some other criterias. A student has to spend greater part of his day in school and so the teachers there play important roles in moulding their lives. So a good teacher should have a very strong and influencing personality. He should be approachable,i.e, students should feel free to discuss their problems regarding studies or things that they cant always tell their parents at first with the teacher without any fear thrashing.

I think that a teacher needs to talk to their students. They need to be able to be there for the student to help them if they need it. You can't talk down to a student but talk to them as if they're on your level. Also need to try and spread your attention to all the students and just not a few. if you have a favorite student don't treat them any differently.

I like a teacher who really understands the situation. The one who is fair in treating his students, Good role model, what I mean is he lives by example. Consistent in all his dealings. just add what more do you want in a teacher? Well, those are mine.
