Well, my husband and I had our one year anniversary on June 1st. We made it without killing each other!! LOL!! It has been tough though and not all honeymoon like and happy times. I think it was also a little more difficult because we had a new baby thrown into that first year too.
How did you feel after your first year? Do you agree that it was pretty difficult or was it easy for you and your partner?

My husband and I dated for three years before we got married. He had three children and I had one of my own already. His children were teenagers and my daughter was 9 months old. It was very rough because his children did not like him being with me at all. They still don't after 16 years. Their mother cheated and their mom and dad divorced and then we met. They accept their new dad but not their new step-mom. We argued for years about his children. they never would come around if I was around. I told him I would leave sop he could see them and he said no. they now blame me for everything. I only met them two or three times 16 years ago and I bought their Christmas the first year I met them. They don't even know it.

Jeez... I never quite understood kids that took things out on the step parent. i am really sorry you had and have to go through that. I'm sure that puts quite a strain on your marraige but it seems that you two have stuck through it. Good luck on the next 16!

We also celebrated our very first year anniv last month, we celebrate it very simple just a plain dinner and surprised me with designed flowers!
and exchanged casual gift as well.
But what is special to me is that we have a very wonderful night together just talking and reminiscing our past how we met and so on...:)cuddling and teasing each other.. We also had a baby, but before our scheduled date my hubby already talk to my mum in law if she can take care of our baby for that moment, she agree and that's it we made our night! It's not really difficult if there's proper planning and most important is "time".

Congratulations on making it your one year anniversary, and I hope you and your husband have many many more, and me and my fiance are planning on getting married next year, and we both know that the first year of marriage is the hardest, and if we can make it through that,we can make it through anything.
