Etiquette Question

We just had our children dedicated (faith-based ceremony). The godmothers (my sisters) came in from out of state with the men in their lives. They stayed in a hotel since one of my sisters is allergic to our pets. After they left, I opened the gifts & found their hotel receipt in the bag.
Here is my dilemma... Was this just an accident? OR is she expecting me to reimburse her? Is that proper etiquette?
I have never been in this situation before. So I would greatly appreciate knowledgeable advice!
Thank you !

It would be best to talk to your sister and clear the air. Do you know if coming to this event created a financial hardship for them and are you in a position to help if they need it? It could have been an accident but it also could be a small cry for some help.

I think the best thing that you could do is to talk to her and ask her if she wants you to reimburse her. She's your sister and I think asking her that would not really offend her that much. It's better that you are sure on what you're doing than making decisions on assumptions.
