is it against the rules?

may i know if sending messages to your friends with links to sites is against the rules here in mylot? Or is it only in the discussions that it's not allowed?

It's not necessarily spamming. You should try to send your ref links to people you know want to join your sites. For instance, you might mention a program you are a member of in a post and then have someone reply saying they'd like to join the site you mentioned. Then you could private message them with your URL; that's not spamming, it's giving someone information they've requested. You should probably avoid sending out URLs to people who haven't specifically shown interest -- they could very easily resent you for doing this and consider it to be spamming.

Hi, Sending the your referral link using the messaging system of myLot is not against the myLot rules. You need to remember never place your referral link in discussions because it is against the rules. Happy mylotting

Hi Jessan, I don't think it's against the rule to send referral links to your friends on private message. But you must send it to so many people otherwise the admin might think you are spamming and they will not allow you to do that. It's only against the rule to start a discussion with your referral link. So go ahead and send those invites to your friend. Good luck!
