Everything we have in our lives (good or bad) is a direct result of our behavior. Our behavior is as a direct result of the way we think.
I believe this statement to be true.
The good news therefore, is that by changing the way we think we can change what we have in our lives.
By this I don't mean, if we have a horrible brother, we can "think" him away, but rather if we stop thinking our brother is horrible, he will probably stop being horrible. (your brother may be wonderful - this was just an example).
I once heard of a man who always spoke badly of the rich. He called them "Cheats" "a despicable bunch of crooks", "probably screwed someone anyway." Now I know some rich people and they are some of the nicest most generous people I have ever met, but what was interesting to me was that he was broke.
During a conversation I was having with a friend about him, my friend said "He will always be broke. why would he want to become something he despises?"
So my question to you is this:
What do you think of rich people and do you think that these thoughts affect your level of wealth?
I look forward to your answers.
Be abundant.
Tim

I agree to that. It is certainly true that whatever we want to become in our life, first we have to aspire for that. This can be observed everywhere in life. We always ask a child that what he wants to become after growing up and child answers according to his aspiration at that age though this may change as child grows up and has better experience of this world. So this can be said safely that this kind of feeling is there in our mind since early childhood. In fact for every thing you want to achieve in life, first one has to aspire for that in his mind and somebody is having negative feeling for something in the corner of his mind, he can never aspire for that and hence can not get that thing in his life.
So,your friend is very right in saying that the person ofyour example can not become rich, because somewhere in the back of his mind, he is having negative feeling against becoming rich.
So I always think that I should think that I am destined to become rich and I must try to achieve this goal. But one more thing I want to add here that our aspirations and means to achieve these goals must be legitimate only and we should alway try to do the things in a way that is good for our family and society.

Thank you very much for your reply and it was very interesting for me.
I never actually thought about how we ask our kids what they want to be and you are right. The things that kids want (or even adults) to think about it are to the extent that they can accept.
Poverty conscious people think to a different level of aspirations that wealthy focused people.
I see this in my own life as I realize that the only thing that holds me back is actually me. Poverty conscious people blame society.
I am going through many changes in my life now as I coach and my students "mentor" me in return and I see possibilities of wealth that as a child I never knew were possible.
Even traveling around the world as I have done (and I presently live in The Philippines) has increased my awareness of life from the life that I saw and had when i was in England.
Thanks for your reply and look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks a lot for the appreciative comment.
So in a lighter vein, I'd say today is that let's make a goal of earning at least hundreds, if not thousand dollars(well, that would be a better aspiration) at Mylot.

I hear that.
My goal is way in excess of thousands! Your comments have really got me thinking though about this subject and I intend to no only think about it more, but also to do some research about this. Maybe I can upload a report about it soon.
Thanks for replying to this discussion. My one and only!
