Is gambling or betting legal in your country?

I have heard in some countries betting is legal. People bet on different things say sports most often. Sports is the most popular kind of activity on which people bet all over the world. Be it cricket, football or even horse racing, i have seen in films and also in my eyes people betting on different contenders. While betting is acceptable upto some extent not involving too much of money, match fixing is totally unacceptable. What do you think? Do you think all players are so professional to avoid being victims of match fixes? any ways, coming back to the topic, my question was if betting ad gambling are legal in your country? well, it is not in mine but people do it without doubt...

Betting is legal almost everywhere, even in USA, you can for example play poker in USA in sites like fulltilt poker. The countries I know its illegal are mostly arab.

Betting and Gambling are very legal in the United States, but you have to be atleast 18 to bet. I have not yet bet at a horse race or anything like that. Betting and gambling's not my style, but yes, it is legal. Where you live is it not legal? My grandfather bets all the time. He is a little addicted.

We have 2 racetracks and gaming centers.( greyhound racing, slot machines, and soon to be table games). The legal age to gamble/bet is 18. That is the only legal gambling here in the state I live in.
