Yesterday, I went into a different supermarket and found on the self there a jar of Tiptree Tawny Orange Marmalade, my usual supermarket only has the their ordinary Orange Marmalade. As I had run out of oats I had toast from breakfast this morning and spread it with this dark and bitter marmalade. Oh what joy, much deliciousness, I had forgotten how good it was.
Have you tried it? How do you like your marmalade?

no marmalade here just red raspberry preserves. Although the seeds are a pain in the teeth it is still delicious. I only have it about 2 or 3 times a month though if that.
I prefer sausage and eggs for breakfast.

Every once in a while marmalade sounds really good! But then when I try it.. I find that I don't like it!

Wow! I'll keep my eyes open for that! Especially as it just seems as though I should like marmalade!

Marmalade is a preserve, that is to say it is like jam made from oranges. Both the body and peel of the fruit is used the peel sometimes remaining in strands within the marmalade. It is good to spread on toast or use in marmalade tart.
Good marmalade is made with Seville Oranges, which being higher in pectin allow it to set better and lend it a bitter and tangy taste but cheap versions tend to be sugary and cloy.
