it could be that your computer's RAM is too low and its having a hard time handling programs or running things and that causes it to slow down.. or u have alot of spywares, adwares, viruses try scanning ur computer for those and have them fixed or u can try defraging... if ur computer is really slow maybe get it reformated...but dont forget to save your files before u do... Hope this helps

There are quite a lot of factors that contribute to performance issues on PCs. It could either be a virus that's hogging up your system, it could be that there are a lot of programs running on the background (use Task Manager to remove them), it could be your hardware (running newer software/games usually needs more computing power). Under these categories there could be much more reason why your pc is slowing down. Low memory, fragmented hard drive, low disk space. Try to set the performance of your windows to optimal performance. Reduce visual effects and such.

To better help you, you should provide more details. - What type of computer? - What OS? (Windows XP, Vista, Mac) - When did the slowness start? - Did you clear your Temp folder, Temporary Internet Files, and Cookies? anything else you think might pertain to the problem.

Do you check your CPU usage with taskmanager ? Sometime a virus uses CPU over 50% continuously, slows down computer. Unnecessary startup programs do it. More than one anti virus program slow down as well. Reinstall your OS may solve the problem.

It could be also that you need a registry fix and a cleanup since you have remove most of the application. A good tool for this is CCleaner, it is freeware, simple to use and fast. It has disk cleanup to remove temp files, old files, and residues of uninstalled programs and updates. It has registry fix and repair to optimize program performance. Finally it has uninstaller to remove stubborn programs that cannot be remove by win uninstall.
