I like some types of drums. I like the orchestral drums that people actually tune and they sound nice generally. I also like steel drums because they have an interesting sound, as do tongue drums. I don't really play any types of drums myself though.

Wow, you can name few types of it. I only know the drums without the names, cause I don't really bother to remember those drum's name. What is tongue drum? Please share if you have time. Thanks for your comment.

A tongue drum is one of those wooden drums that is shaped like a box. It has multiple tongue-like projections cut out, facing inwards in a pretty pattern (usually two sides facing each other). You hit the projections with a rubber mallet usually and they each make a different tone. They're really fun to play around on, but I don't know how to play one properly or anything like that.

I guess the drums are very important part of any orchestra or band, and I didn't even even think much about the drum until recently when a friend of mine bought some extra drums to add to his already large kit, I spent the afternoon polishing the chrome, and I had to hit each one so my friend could adjust the sound to his recording machine..it is amazing just how different each drum is, they definitely have their own sounds.
