A beautiful country?

I know that there are many wonderful things about Germany and beautiful sites to see.However I have researched the holocaust to a great extent.I have read every true life account I could find on it,and studied how exactly it was that Hitler was able to come into power and do what he did,the man was pure evil,a worthless human being.
I find it difficult now to get the pictures and stories out of my head when I think of Germany.What Hitler did was so wide spread,and overwhelmingly tragic.He was able to get so many people to join him in his crusade by getting them to first believe that the Jewish people really were taking Germany away from them,and screwing up their economy.I hav a lot to say on this topic but I would like to ask do you think it would be possible for this happen somewhere else on this grand a scale? I do know that there is similar incidents going on in other countries but I don't think on this scale. What do you think?

well yea the holocaust was disturbing and unbelievebal..
and yet i dont understand ur headline.. yes germany is a beautiful country since i lived there pretty long. but i also kno that there are many not so nice places there.
and if the holocaust could happen in some way again?
i don think so. tht was like 60 years ago now. it was awful and i cant understand how the germans could possibly follow someone like hitler, of what i heared he gave great speeches and sounded pretty convincing.. why the germans followed him will always be a mistery. but something like that could neva happen again.

yes how and why people followed ans supported such a person is still mystery. There are so many cases in the world where people were against the rulers/leaders when they were not good . But this is definitely a mystery why people supported Hitler.

Yes it is hard to imagine anyone being so evil and yes there is a few more still around just as evil, I believe Hitler was accepted so well because he had the gift of telling people what they wanted to hear and people believed him, there are many people like this with the gift of the gab and they are dangerous...It also makes me very angry when people get out there in the media and try to convince people that it never really happened at all and once again some people believe them, there are a lot of people out there that can be convinced of anything and that makes it so easy for people like this man get support. i just wish that everyone in the whole world could live their lives free and with food and peace....maybe one day this will happen...lets hope.

I agree that many people are gullible,and it does anger me when people try to say it didn't happen.I also don't like the neo nazi groups that are still around,they all have one thing in common,hatred.I hope for a better world to

Before talking about Hitlor's characters, first i think history decided there sure would be a man exist and do the some things.The world environment, and the hard politic and economic situation of Germany that time, all asked urgently for a strong man appear to take effective measures to change these, even if it was not Hitlor , it would be someone else, and it is true Hitlor did make the Germany become stronger and prospeous. However, beacause it was Hitlor, brought Jewish great disaster and german nazi's burden. So, nowdays, it has many directions and levels to evaluate Hitlor and his meris and demeris of right and wrong.

I heard about the country Germany some of my friends are studying there. they say a lot of things about the country . Its beautiful as i heard. But if we remember about Hitler all sad things come in front of us. How the people suffered during those days and the rule of Hitler.
