Boy, I totally feel like a heartless person, now!
I wasn't too impressed with the movie (I'm not a fan of the author, either), and thought it was pretty over done. It didn't really appeal to me; and, while it was sad, it didn't really tickle me enough to get teary eyed.

A friend of mine told me that this was a "must see" movie. I tried to rent it and could not find it. So I bought a copy online. Oh my, I cried and cried. I loved this movie.

I actually just saw this movie again recently. It never fails to keep in a fetal position, really. i recall the first time i watched this, i had just finished the book and i asked my two younger brothers to keep me company. for the first time, the three "kids" in the family cried at a movie house, together. this truly is a must see for those who love love. and a challenge for those who say "i don't cry at movies".

I watched this movie together with my mother and my girlfriend. At the end of the film they both burst up in tears which gave me the time to laugh after that dramatic movie. I say women are very sensitive when it comes to these type of movies and they tend to cry alot. While men like to watch scary.
