Do you get down and play with your kids?

I sure do! I love crawling around on the floor, chasing them all over and nothing is better than playing (gender respective) barbies and legos!

This is my thought exactly. They are already growing too quickly and soon they will be in school and then graduated. I also take the view that my housework will not stop until they are older too. They destroy all my hard work an hour after I clean.

AMEN to both of you!! Some times I get flack from my family and friends cuz my house isn't neat and tidy all the time. I try to tell them its not due to laziness, but its a choice I make. I choose my kids, they need me. I don't let it get out of hand, and my house isn't dirty, so what's the big deal anyway??

Exactly! My house isn't dirty, but it is often untidy. Before I had children I thought that I would make them play in their rooms so that my living room would be immaculate. Then I discovered that even if I couldn't play with them for some reason, I could still watch them play if they were in the living room.

SOme days its really tough for me, since I have chronic pain issues. But I get down on their level as much as I physically can, and sometimes I even push it too far.
My three year old loves babies and all that roll play type thing, we are always dressing, diapering, or something with her dolls.
My five year old loves all things boy. I get down and play dinosaurs with him, race cars, or anything else he wants. But sometimes its just a conversation he's looking for.
My 7 year old still needs that time with me too. Its usually a tickle war or me trying to get up on her skateboard...that is a sight to see:)
My 9 year old thinks she's grown, but just sitting together watching discovery or reading something together is usually sufficient for her. She also loves to research things online, which only needs my attention here and there, but she likes me to share things with her when I can.

I get down in the floor and play with my son all the time! I love it, and so does he. We play with the legos, the cars and trucks, color, do puzzles, whatever. It's always fun! I don't roughhouse with him the way that his daddy does, though. I also don't allow him to jump on me when I lay down the way my husband does. He know that he is only allowed to do those things with Daddy, though, so it's not an issue.

My son is too energetic for all that. And he doesn't like to share cars. Rough play is all he thinks of. That is very nervewracking around his baby sister.

I leave the playing on the floor time for daddy! My kids love to get on his back like he's a horsie while he bucks them all over the place :-) I'm more of the cuddly mommy once they've had all their fun! Since I have two girls who are only 1 1/2 years apart - they play a lot together. Now that I have a 6 month old son in the mix - I do play with him quite a bit as far as tickling, peek a boo, etc. I do a lot of reading with them and outside play. But daddy is the main one who plays hard with them!

I love playing with my 11 month old son, I chase him and make animal noises, he just crawls off to hide and sometimes he darts for the sofa, he laughs at me and we play hide and seek, I play and hide, he will peep around to see if ij there then I chase him, its fun lol

I love to get down and rough house. It is hard on me sometimes, but it is such fun and to hear the laughs... I am the everything to my kids. Without me, they would get no attention. He figures I get to stay home, so all he has to do is inneract with them when HE wants to.
