Have you heard this....Lookin at the feet of a woman, if her second toe is longer that her first toe...that woman normally bosses over her MAN......and if a you see the same in any man' s feet ...that is the second toe being longer than the first big toe...he would do very good as a business person....this is just grandma's tale..or may be true too...What is your perception here? Feel free to comment :)

I have know this from a child but never paid attention to it. But now just looking at my toe I see that my second toe is longer and trust me I am always the boss in the relationship. So I guess it is true. LOL

I'm sure it's just an old wives' tale, but I do have to admit that I've heard that too, or rather, something similar.
What I always heard what that a person who's second toe is longer tends to have a dominant personality. In my experience, conveniently enough, it can be true, but if it's just cooincidence or because of the toe, I don't know. Doesn't seem likely though, does it?

There are SO MANY different variations to this belief, such as ; you will travel, you will be the dominant one in your relationships, you are stubborn, etc...
This is what I firmly believe...
Society is moderated through discourse of what is normal vs abnormal. It is a method of control!!!Those who blurr the lines are always gonna be considered "abnormal or freakish" because they do not conform and therefore also raise question about other form of knowledge created in society, which we take for granted as natural or godgiven.
As the world is coming closer together through modernization and technology, we will only begin to find more and more exceptions to the norm. Here in North America, if you have a flaw, it is quicky corrected at birth, and probably not spoken of much again. However, elsewhere in the world where they do not have the means for correcting these "flaws," they are still accepted and live out their lives healthily. Im not just talking about toes, but the entire body including hands, arms, and genitals. For instance, in India, an extra finger is considered lucky and does not have a negative connotation surrounding it, as it does here. (Look up actor Hrithik Roshan) If an actual study was conducted to calulate the amount of hermaphrodites born, including those who are corrected after birth,we would notice a serious problem. Maybe it, and other "flaws," are not a birth defect, but just a natural variation among humans. Something that society claims as normal, while deeming all else abnormal, is a very backwards and close-minded way of thinking, in and of itself.
The reason for this rant is my second toe is a bit longer than my first, and while looking it up, I found many people saying rude things which only made me laugh at their ignorance. I hope this helps people to think outside the box a little more, and I'm glad university helped me to do so.
Cheers :D
