on st. patty's day of this year i was 86'd out of one of the local gay bars, because i called 911 and the police and paramedics showed up and took the 22 yr. old girl to the emegency room, who had basically overdosed on pills and alcohol and her friends were no help..so i guess my questions are, should i have been kicked out of the bar and not allowed to return to it until i basically kiss the managers butt and promise that it will not happen again? also if this was your child that was found, would you want someone to help or just leave her there on the bathroom floor and hope that she made it home alive?????

Actually, I think I would talk to the police about it because it sounds like they might actually be dealing in that bar and don't want anyone messing with their customer base. If they don't do anything, then go public. It's amazing how much a public airing of laundry can change the fragrance. If you have verification that you are indeed the person who saved her life - not that you did it for praise - then people need to know that a local bar, regardless of gay or straight, doesn't want "do gooders" in their bar. Maybe then they'll re-think their positions. Good luck. And, good for you, regardless of what they say!!
