heres how i see obama.... if it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, hangs out with ducks, has most of his friends and associates that are ducks.it must be a donkey!!!!! ps: dont drink the koolaid. the support for obama makes no sense to me. what am i missing? is it ok to be a racist if you are black? why does obama get a pass--but if it was white candidate with the same record and background as obama, the white candidate would be attacked and ostricized almost immediatly.can some one please explain the obvious and in your face double standard?

And I don't see why people despise him so. Hillary lied through her capped teeth and would do whatever to get what she wants, threw whatever dirt she could find at Obama then claimed she didn't authorize it, McCain has a secret fundraiser with Bush so people won't know he's getting his support (right - only people who didn't care to know anything didn't know), doesn't care if we're in Iraq another 100 years, and is possibly too old for the level of stress involved in the Presidency. Obama refused to be caught up in their name calling, dirt throwing games, refused to play negative politics, and basically carried himself with more class than Hillary, Bill and McCain combined! How is he a racist? How??? That's the most ridiculous assertion I've ever heard! On what do base this questionable assumption?

They base it on his association with Rev. Wright.

First of all, there was no book written by Barack Obama called "White Greed". Those were words taken from Rev. Wright's rampage sermon. Secondly, he only wrote two books, both of which have been both mis-quoted and taken out of context. The explanation and truth can be found at www.snopes.com/politics/obama/ownwords.asp. It would be nice if people would actually research what they hear before sharing rumor as truth. It would at least appear that they wanted to KNOW the truth. But, I would like to know how people voting for Obama can be considered racist. I'm certainly not going to vote for him because he's black any more than I would have voted for Hillary because she is a woman. I will vote for him because I believe him to have more integrity in a single hair follicle than Hillary could ever hope to have in her entire being. He has handled himself with a level of class I haven't seen in years and it's about damned time someone showed some class in the political world. Arrogance, stuffiness, self-righteousness, delusions of grandeur are far too abundant these days. It's about time someone REAL stood up. Long past time, for that matter.

Hello Ddzdvd, It's nice to see you back! I'm sorry, but I cannot help to explain this glaring double-standard! If I was a half-White Presidential hopeful, and called my Black grandmother a "typical (Black) person", I would have kissed away my chances at being elected. That is indisputable by even the most 'blinded' of Obama fans! Not only does it denote racism, it also lacks any respect for our elders, and perhaps most egregiously, it screams of a lack of appreciation for all that his White grandparents did for him -- after his father abandoned him, and his mother left him on her parents doorstep, while she went back to Indonesia. Perhaps Stanley-Ann had her reasons for abandoning Barack, yet the fact remains that the only people who committed themselves to Obama's well-being were the same White grandparents that he disparaged! I am piecing together some of Obama's race related quotes, and observations about his state & federal campaign runs. I am absolutely mortified at some of what I've read. Most of the statements come from his two books, so none can argue that they are not his own words. Based on his own words (not those of Rev. Wright), I cannot help but question how anyone would not deem Barack Obama a blatant racist. I have spent my entire life fighting against racism. As someone who has 'walked the talk', I find Obama's rise in political prominence as excrutiatingly insulting!

Thanks for the BR, Ddzdvd. And, for the chuckle. Did you ever see the whacky Steve Martin movie, "The Man With Two Brains"? I could not help but think about this movie when I read your comment. If you haven't seen the movie, the premise is the lengths that zany scientists will go to to preserve brain matter. It's a real hoot! Though whacky and truly bizarre. Anyway, thank you very much for the kind words!
