Is anyone else totally obsessed with the new T.V. network that replaced discovery home? It's called Planet Green and I'm totally obsessed with it. I think I've seen every program they've aired since they premiered yesterday, and I'm actually paying attention to the programming instead of just letting it go on in the background while I write which I was always in the habit of doing because I grew up writing in a house full of noise and in a dormitory. One interesting fact I learned today is that Americans throw away 15,000 tons of trash an hour and that you can reduce your toilet water consumption by inserting a water bottle to displace the flow of water. This will save half a gallon of water per use. I'll be doing that next week when I return from my music festival this weekend.

I have not watched it yet but I know it is available in my area. I think I will start watching soon. I am definitely interested in things I can do to help the environment.

I just tried to tune in to Planet Green and I found out that I don't receive it because I don't subscribe to a premium cable package. I am very disappointed.

I just noticed that there was a Green channel. I didn't even miss Discovery channel. I am not a green person so I don't see watching it but I am glad there is a channel for people to learn how to be green.
