I don't think I could do it, because the church stands on a hill, just across from my home and plays a line of a psalm tune every quarter hour on the bells, until on the hour, it plays the four lines of the psalm tune, after which it strikes the hour time. Therefore, even if I locked away all my clocks and watches for a day, I would still know the time from the strike. Not only that, if I look out of the window, I can't avoid seeing the church clock. So, I think it would be impossible.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Very very interesting question. Bala, I would be honest in my reply. I can remain without looking at clock and without my writst watch. I won't even ask anyone about time. I can guess seeing the sunlight and atmoshphere what could be the time at any particular moment. Usually, my guess work come out more or less correct.

I agree, if we have some appointments at a precise time, then a clock or a wrist watch is essential.

I haven't read all the responses but"yes".
I'm not a time conscious person whenever I don't have any important thing to do the whole day...I may have a glimpse of the clock but I'm not actually looking for the time.
But when it comes to meeting places and people I make it assure that I won't be late or as much as possible I want to be one of the fist among the rest.

about the only way I could do this is if I were flat of my back in a coma, or if I were on an island or something somewhere with no clocks or watches around. I have too much going on it life. I day without having to worry about what time it is actually sounds nice. I don't know how I would arrange to have one of those, but it sure is a tempting idea.

much easier said that done. I would love to go to a place like that for a few days. I don't see that happening, though. I have too much going on in life right now. There is no way I can even go home to visit my dad, let alone go somewhere like you speak of...

I think I have never done that before. As I wake up in the morning, the first thing I look at is the time. Most of the day, my activities are always dependent on time. So basically it would be impossible for me to last a day without looking on time.

Last night as I went to bed late tired I just looked at the wall clock and to my horror it was stopped due to the need of a drained battery.I felt miserable without knowing the time I am going to bed even though I am going to sleep only.We are tuned to time very badly.

No, because I would be late for everything or really early for everything and I wouldn't be able to make the most of my day. I do not have a watch, but I always have my phone on me, which tells me the time. I find watches uncomfortable.

NO! NO! NO! I am a time freak. Everything I do is scheduled. Its like this, soon as I wake up, I look at the clock and my cellphone if the time correct. Then I say a little prayer, get up, fix my bed and take the things I need before I go to the bathroom. Before I go to the bathroom, I will look at the clock again to see the time and in which I teel myself, only 20 minutes there 'huh'. I am quiet a slow in moving and I have so many things to do so I force myself to time everything. If I did not meet my time, I sad and I have to do a little faster next time.
I can't make it the whole day without looking at any time piece especially that I am working. Maybe if I'm on a vacation, I can do that since I have no responsibilities to attend to just myself. Take care =)

I can spend the whole day without asking others the time... but i can never spend the day without looking at the cloct... or my wrist watch... i am like time dependent... and i never want to be late for an appointment... so i am very conscious about the time... but i don't think there is something wrong with that...

Probably if you ask me to do this as a challenge...sure i will not hold on even for an hour.
But it is natural for me, just to do the routine choirs without emphasizing to much stress on time, as i go on doing things at a steady and slow pace. I hate doing things, as a race against time. Just because of the reason, i hate the fast paced, world.
And It is for this reason, i don't wear wrist watch.
Thanks bala for starting a nice topic. Have a good day.

I consider it as a very good response Sai.People are running behind the clocks to beat them and at the end of the day get tired and stressed up too much nowadays.Punctuality is one thing and racing with time with break neck sped is another.
And some experts even advice the people with hypertension not to have clocks in front of their eyes. The mere look at the clock makes their heart race fast in those hyperactive people and make them more4 hypertensive and ultimately make them the heart patients.

no, i cannot. it's just that it is second nature to me already. i feel like i am naked if i don't have my wrist watch with me. i feel disoriented and disorganized. i can't seem to function well if i don't have any time piece with me...

If you had a life that was as monotonous as mine then you can understand that I would never survive with a clock. I do not know how people did it back in the day before clocks were ever around. I don't see how people can not wear watches either. I always have to know what time it is to be remotely comfortable doing something.
