Yup. Same thing happening in my country too. My current company will not hire a postgraduate as they have to pay higher salary to them. So, bachelor will do and it's the basic entry level now.

actually i dont have any intentions on continuing where i left off with my studies...most of my classmates in the college dont earn even half of my earnings and they actully asking me on how to apply in the industry i am in now...and it is not all about money i am enjoying my work and i really have the heart on this...i am planning to save as much as i could for the future though... just do your beat and you will succeed with help from God of course...

it helped me, because the company i am working for does not accept undergraduates. so i will not have the kind of work i have right now if i did not have any diploma to begin with.

I still think yes they do help us in our career. No matter what course you took the important thing is that you were able to finish it. That is what the employer is really looking after, consistency and being able to sustain it. I have friends that have jobs that does not match their course in college bu they were taken only because they have a diploma. They have finished a four year course, compared to an undergraduate. you will have a better chance of getting better job.

Thanks, I agree with you bout that too. Most of my friends didn't work as what they major during their undergraduate times. And their feedback is that as long as you have the degree, it will make your scouting job more easily.

yes, i do think it can help us in our career, especially when you are a new hand. now most of the recruit positions need the applier with diploma or bachelor degree. and i do think that in the college we learned qutie a lot. but if you did not very well, you have no ability to get the diploma/bachelor degree, right?

Thanks for your response. Well, for my case, I did quite well in my study. But then the lecturers ain't teach us the latest technology that will help us to survive in new job!

Frankly speaking diploma/degrees are of less importance to our career. Any graduate when comes out of college and enters into the practical life finds a large difference between what he has studied and what he has to do. Diploma/degrees are only a guidelines to start the practical life but actual experience is gained only through practical life. A layman through his practical experience can guide a fresh diploma/degree holder but a fresh diploma/degree holder can not guide an experienced person.

I agree with you too. but not all courses are like that. For example, if the medicine or nursing courses ain't update with current technology using by the hospitals or health care, I doubt that the graduate will qualify for those job! Thanks for posting!
