I like rap music because it sounds funky and cool, but I think it lacks a melody which is what makes music better-sounding. The rapper just simply talks words in a synchronized manner to a tune, so I'm not sure whether it can be considered as music or not. Even people with no musical ability can rap, just as long as they can follow the tune being played. No offense to rap music (in fact, I love it), but I think if rappers could sing instead of talking, it would be much better.

Rap to me is the best type of music there is. Rap shows peoples lifestyles, and is the only type of music where you can show off and people love it.

I could say that I'm a music lover and I deduce that you are, too. My interests range from folk and country, jazz, slow rock, contemporary, and love songs. I also do listen to hip hop and rap music but I'm not so much into them. I have to admit that eventhough I love listening to tunes and melodies, I'm not a great singer. I also do like songs from the past. I like listening to the songs of Karen Carpenter, Cascades, Beatles, BeeGees, Skeeter Davis and Bobby Bare, and Survivor. The list of local artists included in my list are Yeng Constantino, Regine Velasquez, Asin, Yoyoy Villame, and a lot more. Examples of these songs are Top of the World, Love Me for What I am, Punch and Judy Show, Hawak Kamay, Ever Since the World Began, and the list goes on and on.

I like rap music but not all just select artists and songs. :)
