My landlady is a sweet, sweet person and she decided to help alleviate some of the grocery bill burden by buying me 25 chickens and a rooster - without asking me first.
I don't know the first thing about chickens. I have wanted to learn but now I find myself needing a crash course.
Can anyone give me any advice? From the basics to advanced. Or atleast point me to a website where I can learn?

How strange of her. Suggest to her that you would have preferred a reduction in rent...
All I know about chickens is that you have to give thenm shelter to sleep and nests to lay their eggs and a run where they socialise, exercise and feed and it has to be enclosed vso the fowl are safe from predators.

There is a story behind it but for the sake of time, I gave the short version.
We moved from a city to the middle of a forest. I'm the one who had a giant spider in her shower about a year ago! Remember me? :)
Our landlady has a farm and she tends to experiment with raising different animals to see which she can handle and which she can't. Sheep were not a big hit. They lasted a month before they went to auction.
I had made the comment that with the price of eggs, I would someday like to learn how to raise chickens. Viola!
She bought me some chickens BEFORE she told me that she intended to! So I guess I'm getting a crash course!
The link above has been enormously helpful. They are interesting critters!

He was better after about a week of antibiotics and pain killers. He has a couple of small scars but they aren't very noticeable now. Thanks for asking! I'm going to try to enjoy the chickens. It's a new adventure!

they are actually pretty easy to care for. here is a link to a site with a bunch of info, from the floor of the coop to how to care for the eventual chicks.
and the pics of her chickens show them looking plump and happy lol! so she must be doing something right!
kind of weird that your landlady just dumped 25 chickens on you. thats a lot of birds. nice of her and all, just a bit unusual lol!

Thank you for the link!
I thought it was unusual too but she is a bit eccentric. She means well and I can't fault her for that.
