With the advent of Rock Band coming out for the Wii on June 22nd gamers are a little worried. Due to the Wii's memory limitations it will have no downloadable content on release date and no character customization. Some players feel this lessons the experience.
Harmonix the publisher of Rock Band states they did everything to keep the same appeal of the original.
Although they never confirmed DLC for the future they did mention it's still in the works. Maybe for future titles?
How do you feel about this newest addition to the Wii library?

I have mixed feelings about this. I almost wish that Wii would create some sort of external drive so that it could hold more memory. The sad thing is that this lack of available memory is what made the Wii so affordable in the first place.
I'm happy that Rock Band for the Wii will have wireless controllers (something the X-box does not have), but I am still cautious. I also heard that instead of downloading songs, you will have to buy expansion packs to get extra songs. This will result in people buying more songs than maybe they wanted and also missing out on the occasional free song download that X-box features from time to time.
I think I am going to wait a little after it comes out before I decide to buy it or not. I am going to see what people have to say about it. If it is still pretty good, I might pick it up. If not, I might decide to get it on my X-box instead.

They do need to add an external memory source of some kind. Those little ram cards can only do so much. I don't know what they are thinking. That's Nintendo. (Coin chime here)
They've been around for a while so i expect the best from them to thier gamers. They know who and how to market it.
So long as they don't get lost in any future hype they should be cutting edge interactive aswell as revolutionary for home gaming for times to come.
