Have any of you ever done the 60mile 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk?

I am currently training for it..it will be in September in my city of Seattle...there are so many people both men and women affected by this horrible disease. I am proud to raise money to make a difference..so many of my friends and family are both survivors or have died from it. Do you have a family history of breast cancer? Do you ever walk in the 3-Day? Does it scare you to think of trying to walk 60 miles in 3 days? Here they have us walk about 25 the first day then 20 then 15 the last... I am realy interested to hear if anyone has done this walk or any one like it? What is the longest distance you have walked for a cause or just to challenge yourself?

Wow, such a noble idea. I have never really joined this kind of stuff but I would love to if I get a chance. In the Philippines we call it "Alay Lakad" and it's also done to promote something. Yea, just thinking of it makes me tired already. I may join and if my resistance is good enough I will finish the walk. It would be exciting!

Perhaps you could do one of the shorter walks for the cure..they have 3 mile and 5 mile..and work up to the 60 miles!!! It would be great to know someone that did it that lived in another country!!! Good luck if you decide to do any of them...and thanks for the wonderful post!!

I see, so there's a shorter walk as well. That would be good for me. Recently they had a similar activity in London but I'm too far. If they do it here in Norwich I would definitely register. I'm currently enrolled in a gym so my stamina would be greater.
