What a lovely peaceful morning I have had today, want to know why?

Simple, because my 16 year old P.I.T.A son has gone to his Gran and Grandads for the day and he will not be back until tomorrow night!
Poor Dad, I do feel sorry for him though because my lad aggravates him too and last time he was there managed to upset my Dad quite a lot so I am surprised they have had him again!
But whatever, I have just been so relaxed today, and my daughter has also been in a wonderful mood and has not cried once. No big brother around to aggravate her you see. Don't get me wrong I love my boy, very much but for those of you that know of the problems I have had with him of late then you will probably understand why I feel so relaxed!
So friends what sort of a day have you had so far today?

Awww that must be refreshing gemini and hope you continue to have a lovely day.
It's a little overcast so I am not sure whether to venture out or not. I am going to wait a bit and see how the weather turns out.
Tennis is on so I might just enjoy that for a while. Take care!

The weather is OK here, it is sunny and when the sun is out it is beautiful. Then it will go cloudy and it goes very cool.
You like tennis then do you? I am not much for that game either watching or playing!

I like watching the game more than playing it. It's fun during the summertime with friends though :)

ahhh today ( yes i realize you posted this yesterday an im just getting to it so to you this is tomorrow but for me its today!) was hectically (hecticly??) fun! we went to this family fun fair thingy on the common, raffles, face painting, silent auctions, pony rides, thrifts sale (i got THE most gORgeous antique rolltop desk for five, yes FIVE dollars!!!) got food, hung out in the sun till we nearly melted, and then started home, and hit every yard sale from one end of town to the next, got bunches of stuff for the house and paid very little for them, came home just as a friend of ours sowed up who then ha lunch with us and spent the day, along with the landscaper guy who finally did our lawns properly! yey! /cheer playe a bit with some hummingbirds and have now settled down on my butt in silence to bring my happy happy joy joy mood and spread it around the lot to all of you people! its been a marvy day

And 7 days later she gets around to reading your response.
Sounds like a beautiful day you had. I never have days like that, where I live there is nothing really good like that.

Yes I do understand that and you need that time to
I am afraid Sweet the age he is at is so hard and I really hope that he will soon calm down so that things get a bit easier for you
I was lucky with my Son he sailed through the Teenage age, but my Daughter didn't there where all the Teenage Problems and I am sure that she made up for her Brother to lol
It is hard but you will get there
Hugs to you xxx

I do understand sweety and i hope you enjoy it! We all need a break from our kids sometimes and when they are going through this type of thing it is even more important to get a break and recharge the batteries! I had a weird day yesterday. Just about to leave the house when I realised that I had the wrong day and my physio appt was a totally different day! Spoke to the pain management consultant and arranged for another epidural on the 14th July. Then I managed to track down a dentist that is taking on new patients - huge accomplishment - and got us all registered. I also got my daughters school report which was absolutely glowing! all that was wonderful then i was struck down with the dreaded migraine - at least I had a great day before that!xxx

It's nice that you fineally get to relax and enjoy some time to yourself w/ your daughter.
That was nice of his grandparents to have taken him like they did to give you a break. Yes he may get his grandfather mad at times but loves him lots to keep wanting him to come back. I'm sure they do some fun things together and then there's sometimes that your son might do something that get's him angry and he has to be corrected. My son goes through this w/ his grandfather as well but his grandfather always talks highly of him and loves him to peices. I hope you enjoy your relaxation while it lasts and may things go smooth when he returns and dosn't aggravate his sister and other things he may do that you don't like. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Have a good day and take care.

My dad absolutely adores my son, I think he is the son he never had. I just wish my son could see how much people adore him instead of having the huge chip on his shoulders that he does. Thanks for your lovely response xx

I understand totally how you feel, it is nice to have a break every now and then to relax. My kids go to grandmas once a fortnight, not bubs, but my 12 and 3 year old and it is nice to have some time out from their fighting, lol, you would think a 12 year old and 3 year old would not fight but they do.
My day today has been miserable have the bad flu and I just want to rest but I can't have my 3 year old wanting me to do things all day long, lol. Hopefully in a couple of days I can shake this cold then I can have my energy back again to get through the day.
Have a great day.

Wow gemini!
I envy you, as i've had the most aggravating day ever.
I wish i could have shipped my kids off somewhere.
We're celerating labor day here and the kids are home, and today of all days they pick to fight none stop.
I'm at the point, if i here mommy one more time i swear that child will be toothless.
So do me a favor, and enjoy the rest of your night.. because i'm locked in my bedroom hiding from my children.LOL
