beybes, I write every single day whether the inspiration is there or not; even if it's only to say "I feel horrible today..." LOL. Believe me, before you know it you'll be writing without even thinking about it! I say this because that's how I went from an amateur writer to a published author, and now publisher & editor of my own magazine. However, before I went full time with my writing & publishing I worked as a secretary for over 20 years and yet still wrote every single night whether I was inspired or not. But what may help you is to keep a journal/diary because this does help to inspire our creativity as it did me when I was a child and then teenager. Also, going outside into the world and talking to people and listening to their life stories helps me to write stories, poems or articles. One rule about writing from another person's life story: We must not write the person's real name unless they give us their written permission that we can. But we can change some things in that person's life story so that they won't know you're writing about them. When I first became a published author, I was sooo excited that I showed my book to everyone I knew in my hometown and they all said "that's wonderful, just please do not write about me!" LOL. So far I haven't except for one woman who has since passed away. But I do plan on writing fictionalized stories about some people in my town because they're all such interesting characters I can't resist LOL! Another way I'm able to write every day is by reading the newspapers or listening to the TV news, or even having my husband throw out story titles to me and I'll go from there -- he's a technical writer at his job so this also helps inspire me. An example: just the other day, my husband suddenly said to me "A Cry in the Wild would be a great title..." So I immediately went to my computer and wrote two whole paragraphs (so far) just from his title idea :-) Of course I realize not everyone is married to a writer, so in that case I would suggest newspaper headlines to ignite our creativity; it does help too. Another way to get inspired is by reading other writers' works without being jealous. The more reading and writing we do, the better our own writing gets. Wow, sorry this post is sooo looong but I do get carried away when speaking about WRITING & PUBLISHING! Btw, I've been creating my stories and poems since I was 7 years old so I know what I'm talking about.

I also like writing short stories, poems, and screenplays. I find my inspiration anywhere. And sometimes where I least expect it. Most of the time I watch movies that I like and I try to pin point why I like them. It's easier to figure out what the appeal is. So, I just try to watch as many different movies as possible to get a sense of what I want to write.

Well, if its writing in myLot? My inspiration here is the number in the star after my name and the number that increases every time my brain works. I also write in other form. What inspires me are the efforts of my friends to read them and to satisfy them. In other cases, the comments that I get. I am curious of many things and as long as people make comments on my work...good or bad ... I don't stop. For good comments, I show them that I deserve the comment. For bad comments, its to show to them that they are wrong. Take care =)

My children are my inspiration. I also use family and friend situation in my writing. it really seems to help me stay motivated. As a writer, I find myself watching people more closely than I used to......hey you never know what you can use in your writing! LOL!
