Just got the call, I start Monday. It's not much, I'll be working for an answering service and only making $7 per hour but it's $7 more per hour than I'm making now. I'm good at the job, when I was married my husband and I owned an answering service for awhile till mismanagement and bad luck shut it down. I also worked years for other answering services and I do enjoy helping people.
I'm very happy today! And I thank those people here and my friends in other places that have been praying for me and sending positive thoughts my way.

I hope you get that call! It's so discouraging to hunt for a job, I was feeling like a real failure until I got this call.

Many congratulations indeed, and best of luck for Monday.
I didn't know you were searching for a job, but this sounds ideal for you with the background that you have, particularly if you enjoy doing the work. And as you say, $7 an hour working is better than nothing per hour sitting at home! But the money isn't the only reason for working. I'm sure you'll enjoy doing it too.

I really do enjoy that type of work, providing something that people need and helping them. It'll be good to get out of the house and back among people. Sometimes days go by without my ever talking to another person and that's not good for a person.
Thank you!

Hi dragon54u,
Hooray for you!
It just shows, they can't keep a good woman down!
Just say the word, and we'll get the myLot members (all 130,000 of them) to ring you on your first day - that oughta show 'em!
And it shows the power of thoughts - everything happens for a reason...

Thats great news, and i am happy to hear it. $7 an hour is a lot. So that means if you work for 10 hours you will get 70 dollars, and in a month you can get 2100 dollars and it will take about 39 years for you to become a millionaire with that job, that is without you spending a dime from the earnings. Lol. I hope ill get a nice job too soon, because i am spending so much of time working for money, and i just cant make enough.

Here in the U.S., it's not considered a lot of money. A cashier at Walmart gets $15 per hour! But because of some medical issues I can't be on my feet very long without pain. Still, $7 is a lot more than I'm making sitting at home!
Have you tried doing surveys? They pay pretty well, I have a small bunch of checks I need to put in the bank from survey companies. You're the age group they're interested in, too, so you'd get a lot more than I get! Just remember not to pay, if they want money it's a scam. And avoid Greenfield Online because they only award sweepstakes entries for most of their surveys.

Yes, God has been very good to me. I was without a job for a year but He took care of me very well. I'm happy to get this job, especially when jobs are so scarce right now and more are being lost every day. Thank you for the kind words!

Congratulations! I hope you like your job and your co-workers. It sounds like it would be a good match. Perhaps you will work your way up the company and make more money. Or, maybe you can open your own business in this area someday. I hope that doesn't mean we won't see you on Mylot, though.

Thank you! I'll still be here, I have lots of bills to pay and a basement that needs repairs--I'm tired of mopping up when we get heavy rains. So I'll be on here every day, probably, enjoying my friends and piling up the pennies!

I think it's a full-time job. The person that called me forgot to ask the hours but I assume it's second shift because that's what these types of places usually need and that's the busiest time, after everyone's left their office and their clients decide they need to talk to someone between 5pm and midnight!

dragon congratulations as you say 7 dollars an hour is more
than you were making. and if you like the job and are good'
at it you will be very happy. wish I could do something like'
that but I am too old now. Anything helping people is so
rewarding. I worked as an nurses aid for many years and
the big payoff was helping others.it was so worthwhile.

It'll be fun. There's some frustration involved when you're answering doctors' lines, though, because people just don't seem to have any common sense. For the most part, it's a great job that I like, thanks!

Much better than nothing! I was just thinking, I've never made over $10 an hour all my life. The thought of someone like a union worker making $25-50 per hour is unbelievable to me.
Thank you for the good wishes!

I hope they keep me, too. I've had a terrible time getting a job, up till now the places I applied hired younger people instead of me. I'm sure it'll be a wonderful job, thanks!

Thanks! I was getting very weary of sitting here all day posting, doing surveys and all that stuff trying to make a little money. I'll still do those things but it's nice not to have to depend solely on that.
