Okay I know sounds crazy but that is what I just saw outside my window. Now before you say I need to be locked up let me explain. It is very very windy here today. We did have a tornado touchdown early today in Minnesota but far from my home. Now this was an empty garbage can or well it was empty by the time it flew by my window. I was gonna grab it but it went away to fast and I wasnt about to chase it. So what have you seen before that youve had to explain or people would think you were crazy?

Wow there is no telling where that garbage can came from. I've never had anything strange fly by the window but I do recall a few years ago when I was going into the grocery store on a beautiful, sunny day I got caught in a little whirlwind. It blew me up against the store and the sign by the store blew over. My eyes were filled with sand and my hair was all over my head. Everywhere else was calm. It was just me and the sign. The people in the parking lot that saw it were looking a little shocked too but nobody said anything.

I have that experience yesterday but our huge garbage can outside was rolling so fast up to the highway, I was running to catch it before any cars will hit it! I felt so stupid chasing it! ANyway, I made it before it reached the highway! I hope this windy season will be over soon!

UGH...I hate this time of year! LOL I'm in southern Missouri and have been under tornado...whatevers since the middle of last month. Under a watch right now as a matter of fact. Its pouring rain and the sun is shining. *sigh* We just got hit with a tornado last month. Had about 30 people killed and a couple of the smaller towns around me completely destroyed. Anyway, I seen a DOG fall from a tree one time, not long ago. I was sitting with a friend chatting, and happened to glance out the window. As soon as I did I seen a little dog fall out of the tree. She thaught I was hallucinating until we got up and went out there. There was a little boy in the tree, and he had taken the dog up with him and couldnt get down unless he tossed the dog. LOL Luckily the dog wasnt hurt. But it was funny....she still tells people about it...mostly so they will all think im crazy.

During a hurricane in Puerto Rico our roof flew away. It was a very scary night as trees, roofs, windows etc., were flying all over the place.

STAY IN YOUR HOUSE! Unless you are going to a neighbor's house for better protection from a tornado, keep your butt inside your house! LOL! Don't go chasing after flying garbage cans because the next one might try to fly past your head and hit your instead. Now, as for your question, I can't think of anything that I have seen that people might think I was crazy unless I gave a full explanation of. LOL! Oh...I did see an elephant pee in your garden! That might get people thinking I am crazy! But, I can't be the only one!

Oh there are so many, where to start? LOL There is the night I almost hit a cow; I live in the country and he had gotten out, but everyone thought I was nuts and must have gone off-roading. I once saw a woman walk into a bar with a pistol in her hand insistent on finding the guy who had come her bedroom window; he had tried to break in and she had chased him. I saw feet sticking out of my sister's car once; no, she didn't hit anyone, a guy was trying to steal the stereo. As for chasing the garbage can, it's probably good that you didn't. If it was flying like that you never know what other debris you might have been hit with if you went out there. Batten down the hatches and take care of yourself.

The most amazing thing I have seen flying was a sheet of ply wood. I was driving down the freeway when a truck in front of me lost a sheet of ply wood. It flew up in the air and floated like a kite. And then came down and landed flat agains my wind shield. I had to slowly pull ove to the side of the freeway, driving blindly, so I could stop and pull this full size peice of ply wood off my wind shield. It was amazing and also very scarry. I had to sit there for ten minutes to let my heart slow down.

Don't chase those crazy things. Gees, you could have been hurt if you did. We get strong winds here, with no storms, and I see all sort of stuff flying around. Our trash can moved from the house and was heading up the drive way, with a full load of trash inside. I have learned my lesson about trying to keep the lid on the can the night before trash day, so I just pull it up to the road the next morning. Fighting with a trash can at night, during a wind storm wasn't funny. The lid flew up and hit me in the nose. I did lose some of my trash that night, I didn't feel like chasing empty bags in the dark.

It did hurt, it left like it broke my nose. Luckily, though it wasn't broken. I did learn my lesson though, trash cans can fight back, .

I forgot to answer your question. I once saw a magazine picked up by the wind. It went flying by a store window with pages flipping one or two at a time, as if an invisible man had just run by reading a magazine. It was funny..

I don't think theres anything crazy that I've seen and can't explain, but I did hear on the tv the other day, that there was a tornado that came thru not too far from here, and it had picked up someones dog. They said some neighbors seen the dog flying thru the air, and it landed down the street, she said it was crazy, she looked up and seen this dog flying thru the air. Luckily the dog was okay, it had a few scrapes and scratches but it lived. Now that would be crazy to see...lol.

I've actually never seen anything like that, but my cousin wrote to me once telling me about the "flying raw sewage" in her neighborhood. There was a story in her local newspaper about a broken (major) drainage pipe in her complex and that sewage was flooding basements and low-lying areas. For some reason, they called it, "flying raw sewage" although, for the life of me, I can't understand why. She couldn't either, but it was awfully funny picturing raw sewage just flying around! Ewwww!

I did forget to mention that I went chasing after a garbage can once during a hurricane. It wasn't too bad (yet), as the wind and rain were just beginning to come hard. I looked out my back door and saw my garbage can floating down the yard towards the road. We had already about 4" of flood water, so I rolled up my pants, took a deep breath and went running after it. I should have just let it go because there were quite a few very large trees around and the branches could have broken off at any time. But, we learn from our mistakes, right?

I don't think you're crazy LOL as it has already happened to me..in the past , i've lost 2 garbage cans and 1 recycling bin to the wind! And now , we're left with no garbage cans to store our garbage bags until garbage day, and some nasty cats always break our bags!!

That is nothing. Have you heard about flying garden sheds? Well we got them in Winnipeg, a few years ago and I also had to go a couple of blocks to retrieve our own garbage can. And to top that off, someone switched my perfectly good recycle bin with their bent and crappy old one. No one would think that I was crazy, because everyone who looked out their windows could see the garden shed floating over the roof.

I am visiting up in Wisconsin and my friends live across a lake in the trees...and we saw a bear....walk across their deck! Right in front of the picture window..scared the bee geevers out of me...that was the last time I visited.....this time no sighting...except for the wild turkeys! When I get home and tell people what I see they act like I am lying! LOL

Yeah i was sleeping in a van at my grandpas once up north. He has a nice private plot on like 300 acres and well my brother yelled for us to come in and we were like whatever well we finally look out and there like 100 feet from us are two large bears and one baby. Luckily they were eating something and had no interest in us. we ran inside anyways to be safe.

I can't think of any thing I've seen that would require a full explanation for people not to think I was crazy, but the scariest thing I've ever seen is my roof, totally intact, flying across the back yard. I was too busy holding a tarp wrapped board over a broken window to go chase it. LOL Fortunately the roof was a free standing roof that had been built over my mobile home, so I did still have some protection overhead, even if it was leaky.
