I find it hard to believe that we are the only intellegent life in the universe. That has to be aliens out there someplace. So yes, I believe in aliens.
As for them actually being here watching us, I am not so sure. The distances involved are so great that it seems like a far way to go to just peep in people's windows. So I am not sure if I believe that we will ever actually make contact with any.
Besides, if they are intelligent, they probably would not want to talk to humans; we would just try to sell them a mobile phone or a used car.

I would totally love to believe that one day earth will be visited by freakish looking beings from another planet. However, the probability or another race evolving as far as us and especially further than us within our galaxy just doesn't match up. I am sure that life has evolved far beyond humans else where in the universe, but with as large as our galaxy is we will never really be able to leave it. Hell , even at 10 times the speed of light it would take thousands of ships constantly moving, hundreds of thousands of years just to explore our galaxy. The space between galaxies is vast compared to the size of our galaxy. It's not that I don't believe in aliens, it's just that I feel positive that we will never, within the life of the earth, have a visitor from another planet.
It'd be nice to meet Spock though. In the same facet, our galaxy is soooo big that there could be hundreds of other intelligent species and we might not find a single one for 10,000 years.
i love aliens

I'll avoid the too-easy sarcasm about living in Miami meaning everyone's an alien except me, and assume you mean aliens from other planets.
How self-centered can we be? Surely we can't expect that we're all that's out there. It's just not logical.
On the other hand, are we just figments of each other's imaginations?

For me, I would say "YES".
Let's say for example a certain "room". Let's put some objects inside this room; there's cabinet, bed, lights, television set, an aircon, and even dust.
Now, let's say that the room is the universe. There's a lot of things inside the room. We can be the one that resides in the cabinet, or in the television set. But hey, there are more to resides on! And there's no single dust in a room. There's a bigger chance that somebody already occupied this single piece of dirt.
What I'm trying to say is that, a big place like the universe suits for a big crowd. it will not be that huge if only human beings which is a bit of dust was the one who only utilize it.
Furthermore, we already called them aliens, or a stranger, the unknown, and so, how come that we already have a name for them if we don't believe in their existence?

Hi sramanujam, I feel certain that there is life on other planets. It would make no sense to think that this piece of dust is the place where there is intelligent life. Whether or not anyone has visited here is another question. I believe it is quite possible because there are probably beings far more advanced than us. Blessings.
