sometimes, dandruff is stress related, if you have already tried different shampoos but to no avail. Why not go to a specialist so the doctor can check it out. I more thing, try and import our local shampoos here. Ask a friend or a relative to ship you these shampoos (all for treating dandruff) - head & shoulders, selsun blue, and clear shampoos. My husband used to have dandruff but was diagnosed stress related, so i didn't give him anymore stress ! no, but seriously, try the anti-dandruff shampoos backhome. Sometimes, Asian hair is very delicate and the shampoos there are sometimes too concentrated. MY sister used to send packages of different shampoos from other countries but It doesn't suit me..

Yes Nizoral contains Ketoconazole which helps you decrease scalp infection and hence decrease your dandruff.

Hi baleleng, try "calamansi" rub it on your scalp and wait for 30 minutes then wash your hair thouroghly. It is a bit itchy but it's bearable. That is what my friends' used and it is proven. Just try it..

Try to use aloe vera extract. The fresh ones, try to rub it onto your scalp before taking a shower. Leave it for 30 minutes and rinse it off. refrain from using conditioner. because sometimes the residue from the conditioner worsens it. Or if still comes back try to use nizoral shampoo or if it worsens try to go to the dermatologist.

Hi baleleng. It is a disagreeable problem. One friend of mine had it and he cured it with sulphur soap. He wash the hair every day with this soap and after a time the dandruft is gone. Hope it can help you. Have a nice day.

Okay I have this problem too, and for some reason it began about three years ago out of nowhere and i felt like a leper when it started because I had it REALLLY bad. I noticed it happens mainly when the weather changes, well I live in the south so that is a constant battle. Here's what I do. I use a combo of these routines and it helps either alleviate it enough to make me feel like a human being again or solves it completely for a short time period. 1) Don't wash your hair everyday. This actually irritates yur dandruff. So I had a big prob with this at first b/c I always washed my hair every day. Now I aim for two to three days a week. An added plus to this is your hair is easier to style when it is a little dirty, odd I know but true still. 2) Scalpicin is the best OTC treatment and is rather pricey I think. But it works so when I have a bad case of it I always make sure I have it around....you just apply it to your scalp after washing your hair and you can use it even on dry hair....it relieves the itchiness WONDERFULLY. 3) Head and shoulders was always nasty to me, but I found out the new formula is much better. I use this when I was my hair even when my dandruff is not a problem. There is zinc now in the product which helps. 4) I take Vitamin E and Fish oil. Both are good for other stuff and are great for your skin. Oh and most likely if you have dandruff you prob have that dry, red, itchy, sometimes bumpy stuff on your forehead and hair line, maybe even have roseacea...well I got Eucerin lotion and apply it to my face every night and my skin went back to normal in about 3 days. I sound very attractive right now huh? LMAO. Good luck and I hope this helps, because I know it is not just the condition it's how it makes you feel on the inside.

The eucirin lotion also for the bumpy of my face I will try but I don;t know if it really works for me coz I have a lot of bumpy on my face...lol!Thank you soooo much taface for you wonderful advice! there is this antiseptic baby bath concoction called lactacyd baby bath that is recommended for all types of skin and even scalp problems. try it. i have several skin issues that i jut find the popular products in the market as not effective at all. they have this list of product components that run a typewriting paper long and they are all pure chemicals. lactacyd baby bath has natural components and you'd only see two components on the label. lactacyd baby bath helped me out. it may be recommended for babies but the label would tell you that doctors would even recommend it for varying skin and scalp conditions. my child should have had graduated from this thing but at four years old nothing still delivers that same cleanliness and gentleness on him. his heat rash even takes a back seat.
