Have you ever had a dog that you considered a Hero?

We have. It was our little Pomeranian and he proved to be a hero in our lives. In l994 I had a granddaughter who had a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. As her disease progressed it began to rob her of her abality to move, walk, talk, sit, swallow, cough and even making breathing difficult. She came to the point that she would choke on her own saliva. But due to her weakness, it was sometimes hard for us to even know that she was choking. She couldn't make very loud noises. But our little hero, Gizmo would hear her, even if he was in the back of the house. He would come flying to her and stand over her barking with all his mite. So then we could quickly grab her up and suction her, therefore saving her life. I don't know what we would have done without our Gizmo to help us watch over our little angel girl. She lived for eighteen months before she joined Jesus in Heaven on June 1, l996. But she didn't die from choking thanks to our hero Gizmo. We lost our Gizmo about two month ago. He died from old age. I know he is now dong something he loved to do. He's watching over our little Angel Girl once more.
