We have. It was our little Pomeranian and he proved to be a hero in our lives.
In l994 I had a granddaughter who had a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. As her disease progressed it began to rob her of her abality to move, walk, talk, sit, swallow, cough and even making breathing difficult.
She came to the point that she would choke on her own saliva. But due to her weakness, it was sometimes hard for us to even know that she was choking. She couldn't make very loud noises.
But our little hero, Gizmo would hear her, even if he was in the back of the house. He would come flying to her and stand over her barking with all his mite. So then we could quickly grab her up and suction her, therefore saving her life. I don't know what we would have done without our Gizmo to help us watch over our little angel girl.
She lived for eighteen months before she joined Jesus in Heaven on June 1, l996. But she didn't die from choking thanks to our hero Gizmo.
We lost our Gizmo about two month ago. He died from old age. I know he is now dong something he loved to do. He's watching over our little Angel Girl once more.

Yes that is very cool baleleng, it is really comforting to know that your dog is there to protect you. It makes it so much less frightening when you are alone. And they can hear so much better than we can, so they always warn you if someone is around. So yep, I say that's pretty cool.

You know there is so much more to animals than we really know about, I have always said cats and dogs have a closer spiritual connection than we do, maybe their little minds are more open to what really is, that is amazing. I did have a dog when I was a teenager who saved me from a rat, a huge rat, I was sunbathing and this rat was coming up to me and out little fox terrier dog not much bigger than the rat fought with him, it took that little dog and my dad to kill that rat, so I think dogs are wonderful...
