Off Home Tomorrow!

Well, I'm off home tomorrow for a while. I'll be catching the bus at Colchester Bus Station in the morning at 10 o'clock. I'm looking forward to the scenic view along the Thames Bank and through Westminster, past Westminster Abbey, to Victoria Coach Station in London, where I have to change buses. That's the better part of London, after the East End! lol.
After quite a short wait, I have to then board the bus heading towards Brighton, and will be home, early afternoon. I'll see you all again then, but now, I have to get my head down. Guess I'll have to set my phone alarm, to make sure of getting up early enough, and I'll bring you all up to date with things when I get home.
See you soon, my friends!

It was a bit difficult to take pics my dear friend, as I was on the bus and would have had to take them out of the window, which doesn't open. I don't think they'd have worked out very well, but I have the memories of the sights. I haven't been to London sightseeing for years, so the bus ride was a treat for me, not to mention the visit to our dear friend.
Brightest Blessings and thank you for your contribution. xxx

Hi Ellie, my friend. I crossed the old boy twice on the way back, and both heading to Gabs' and coming back, the tide was out, so there wasn't much rolling along!
I'm still working on a couple of days in or near Teignmouth. I really would love to get down there whilst my friend is down... it's the first time he's actually intimated that he'd like me to meet his friends. He arrived there this afternoon, just as I got home, so now I have to see what I can do. My pockets and getting a bit low though. I can get down there for just over £28, but I'd need to book a room for a couple of nights... unless my sister isn't working. I don't drive, you see... I really should have learned. I'm back off up to Gabs on the 17th too and a darts AGM on Wednesday, so my week is a bit cut up by that. Still, nobody wins a battle without a fight, do they? I won't give up until the absolute end.
Brightest Blessings and thank you for your contribution, my friend. xx

Thank you, my friend. I am fed and watered now too, and considering a couple of pints. lol.
It would cost about the same between the two of us, but the difference is, the coach doesn't arrive till 7.40 p.m. so a whole day is wasted travelling, whereas if you can somehow go by car, you can leave in the early hours and be down there way before lunch. Coming back, the coach leaves at 7.20 a.m. which is ridiculous really.
Oh wow... it would have been nice to meet you too, my friend, and thanks for the tip about the Woodlands Hotel. I will look into that one right now. I found a couple which were about £30 a night but have no idea what they're really like. Yes, I did find this time that it was all or nothing. I had to make my arrangements, as although he'd said he'd check with his friends first if I could go down with him, he didn't seem to think they'd mind, but had not been back to me. Thus, I booked what I needed to, to fall in with other people, and then he pipes up about this one! They all came on top of one another. Wow, Bognor and Surrey are not far at all from me. Did you originally live in this area? I'm in West Sussex.
I'm sure it will happen if it's meant to be, and I know it's meant to be, but I don't know how much longer I can wait... I hate him being so far away, and with my being in Essex, it's been ten days on the trot. Then, he'll have been home for only two days, when I go back to Essex for a week. So, I really wanted to try and make it, if only for a couple of days. I feel he's testing me out, if you know what I mean? He only comes once a year too, and with his illness, who knows how many more times there will be... not to mention what could happen to me. I have to think about doing today, rather than next year, my friend. We have such a bond that I can't explain. I know we were brought together by the Wise Lady herself and for a very good reason. She's intimated so. I'm sure you can understand how much that means to both of us. There's lots more that's happened regarding spirits and bonds, but far too long a subject to go into just now. All I know is that when we're this far apart, it's like losing a part of one's soul. So, I'll keep fighting until it becomes impossible... I'm sure you don't blame me for that. xx

Glad you are back home safe. I am not surprised you are getting low on funds the amount of travelling you have been doing recently. It is probably cheaper by coach than your sister driving the price of fuel at the moment though. I no longer live in Teignmouth or you could have stayed with me but when my friends used to come down one of them used to stay at the Woodlands Hotel on Barn Park Road which was really resonable and the landlady Mary is lovely. Don't you find though that it is all or nothing, I have had the same recently where I have been to Bath, London, Surrey, Bognor, Surrey and Surrey again with various events happening and then suddenly I will be at home for months but it has been a costly few months too so can appreicate where you are coming from. If it is meant to be it will happen. You can always come with your friend another time as you don't want to burn yourself out either. Ellie :D

I nearly missed the darned coach at the bus station. That 65 bus didn't come and at 9.42, I jumped on another. He got there at five to ten, and the coach was loading. I had to walk from one side of the bus station to the other, but was lucky cos a guy held up the bus, fussing about his holdall... some Italian guy.
You're so very welcome, and thank you, Gabs, for putting up with me. Yes... see you in ten days. Love you too. xxx

It was a lovely trip, my friend, especially through the "posher" parts of London. I had to fight to keep myself awake until we got to the part I really wanted to see, but a twenty to thirty minute drive through such interesting parts was well worth the fare to me!
Brightest Blessings... I'm home safe now, and thank you for your contribution. xx

Oh I am so jealous - still. LOL I can't wait to one day get over there and tour the entire country. *sighs* Hopefully one day.
I'm glad you had a great time and are home safely as well :)
Sorry I haven't been around much lately...just hadn't felt like getting on here much.

No worries, my dear friend. I have been the same, but we're both here now, and well, so that's all that matters.
I do hope you can get here someday. I know you'll love some of the places I do, but you have to be prepared to travel around a bit... nothing as much as in the States though, but our road networks aren't so direct as yours. I'm sure you'd enjoy it, nonetheless.
Brightest Blessings. xx

Hi Faith, my dear friend. Probably the only differences since you visited London are the London Eye, which is very impressive, and the addition of several more blocks of offices. lol. There was one odd building I spotted, which reminded me of that London Tower proposal, which I'm still not sure was genuine. Anyway, this building, or space rocket shaped tower was all windows and looked like a new, fandangled office block. It was taller than most of the other high blocks. The windows were, I believe, diamond shaped and set in an aluminium or steel frame, and the top went to a pointed, conical shape... it was quite eerie looking. Nothing much else new to report my friend.
Brightest Blessings, and thank you for your contribution. xx

Hi Darkwing! Oh, I did see the London Eye and that conical building, I just forgot the name of the building. I didn't take a ride on the London Eye because I really am scared of heights. Just looking at it then, made me feel so cold and sweaty at the same time even if it is just turning so slow. Thanks for the update.
Take care and God bless my friend!

London changes all the time, doesn't it, my friend? I haven't been into London on a day trip for ages, although my son and daughter-in-law love going up there. I can't cope with the business of it any more, but sitting on a coach, riding through the City is about my forte! You know what I'm like!
Maybe we should take time out to travel up there together one day! We could take it easy and not overdo it. It would be fun, I think. Brightest Blessings, my dear friend. xx

We'll arrange something soon, my friend, I promise. I have to try to find my friend, to arrange that one... I hope he's ok because I still haven't heard anything from him. It's quite scary, thinking about what I've been told over the past few days, and him being MIA. I'm going to need all the energy I can muster for a while. In the meantime, I'm at our friend's for this week, but I'll still keep trying to contact him. I'm lost at the moment... not to mention a little worried. xx

I couldn't really take decent photos. I was on a coach and would have had to have taken them through the window, so I packed my camera in my case. Just driving past such large and awesome sights was well worth the trip though... it would cost an absolute fortune to take a tour guide bus along the embankment, past the London Eye, and right past the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. They're most of the sights I like in London. Other than Westminster and the City, there are some grotty places too. lol.
Brightest Blessings and thank you for your contribution, my friend. x

That sounds like a nice trip. I have not been in England since I was three and then I forgot most of it. It must be very exciting. Just let us know if anything excited happened to you and let us know when you get home. I hope you can take pictures and maybe post them here so we can see them.

Unfortunately, I packed my camera in my luggage before travelling. It's not easy to take pics from the coach unless you can get a "window seat", and on the right side of the bus! Then, you have to take them through the window and get sun spots on them, but I'm going back soon so will try then.
I don't think pictures really carry the awe of actually being there... the dramatic rise of buildings, and London landmarks has to be seen, don't you think?
Brightest Blessings and thank you for your contribution, my friend. xx

Yes, I'm home, my dear friend... safe and sound and over the awe of London's "poshest" sites.
It was a good journey, but with a little bit of panic at Gabs' end. The railways are laying on buses from Colchester, and they're all parked in the normal bus lanes, so the buses were messed up a bit, and I was close to missing my coach from the bus station. lol. On top of that, it was raining up there, but before we reached London, the sun was out, and it's bone dry at home... no rain yesterday or today.
Thank you for your contribution, my dear friend. It was good to talk to you. Brightest Blessings and take care. xxxx

I did wake before the alarm went off, my friend. I couldn't seem to sleep properly that night, but all was well... I caught my bus despite a bit of a hold up at the station, and the journey through London was wonderful, as you can see from my other responses. We travelled over the bridge right by the London Eye, and back into the city, via the bridge beside the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. I like that part of London but some of it is so grotty.
Brightest Blessings, my dear friend, and thank you for your contribution. x

I did really enjoy the trip through Westminster, along the Thames embankment, and the centre of London. It takes almost half an hour and beats paying for any sightseeing trip! lol. It was all included in my travel ticket!
Brightest Blessings and thank you for your contribution, my friend.

Hello, my dear friend. We grumble about our rail service, but I think it's maybe more passenger friendly than yours, and although we have to change trains for certain journeys, the network is good in that we can get from A-B quite quickly. I guess being a li'l island helps occasionally, huh?
I had a lovely journey home... awesome sights in London, and I had an early night last night. Today, I'm going to my son's for dinner, so being spoiled already.
Brightest Blessings, my friend and thank you for your contribution. xx
