The PTC Road - Paved With Good Intentions?

We've all seen the new PTC sites that crop up every day, each claiming that they are the best thing to hit the 'net since tabbed browsing. They tout lots of clicks daily, $1 payouts, quick payments via every payment processor out there - anything to get you to click on 'sign up'. So you click that button, fill out the username and password that you can type in your sleep, commence to clicking, and wait for the bucks to roll in. Day after day after day you click, analyzing your spreadsheet to see how many pennies you're making, begging your friends to join you, promising everything to them that the site owner has promised you. Until one day, after thousands of clicks that have worn the fingerprint off of your index finger, you check your stats and - yes, you've reached payout! Where's that payout button. I know it's hiding here somewhere. Ah, there is is, c'mere you little rascal, I've been waiting to click on your pretty little tab for weeks now! And? And? And? Argggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh ... the payout minimum has increased! When did that happen? Why didn't anyone inform me? I've got info all over my blogs, bragging how easy it is to reach payout for this site, building it up like the owners built it up for me, and now what? I've lied to my following! That $1 payout disappeared faster than a chat room troll when a monitor enters the room. Ok, all joking aside - does this infuriate you as much as it does me? Do you think they plan it that way, to lure you in the door with the low payout promises - the old bait and switch tactic? Or do you think they start out with good intentions, and then realize they're in over their heads and just can't keep up? What say you?

I have never been a fan of these sites. But I have decided that I will slowly try them out. And well Ive joined a couple and will wait and see if its as easy as they say but so far its just annoying. I mean its not worth all the work really but ill stay open minded for a little. I just hope the payout doesnt go up on me that will anger me.

I've got a list on my blog with those that have paid me, etc. I try to list which have low payout, but I think I may stop doing that. I don't want to ruin my reputation!

I really think I have an attention problem. I find I cannot stay on them, or on sites that give me points or money for completing offers. They seem to disappear into nothingness. I just stick with myLot, mypoints, inbox dollars, and Gather and Helium. Many of them I have never cashed out on, but I am waiting to get enough to make it worth my while.

Hi there Ldyjarhead! I enjoy your comments on here. So... share with us, some of the sites that work for you on pay outs! It is important to be informed, so that some of us do not experience the same let-downs on trying to make a few bucks.

I think there is a deliberate cold hearted intention by webmasters to defraud. I experience the same thing and waiting for a divine intervention.
