should smoking be banned??

Even though I don't smoke, I think it shouldn't be banned. For some people smoking is a way to relieve stress. For others it something to do on a 15 minute break at work.

Hmmm ,firstly ,I'm not a somker .And i think it should not be banned ... As far as i know many cities and governments have made some laws or roles about limitting the somking in the public enviroment but never ban it .Because it connect many social problems .If it was banned ,many workers will lost their jobs and many compenies will be shut down what's worse is that this will cut part of the earnings of the government directly ... Besides ,because the somking will bring harm to both the somkers and the nonesmokers ,so it's also necessary to make some special places for the somkers to somke ... I think it's ok that the somkers smoke in the right places...

If you don't want to smoke then don't smoke. But to ban it for us smokers is going to cause and uproar. We smoke for many different reasons known to us. We have taken it outside so what more do you non smokers want from us? We are not harming you when we take it outside and if you choose to go to a smokers house don't complain about it either. You choose to go in there knowing they are a smoker. I am quite sick of non smokers complaining about us smokers and wanting a ban on them. We choose to smoke so leave us alone already. It is not a proven fact that smokers are going to have a shorter life span than a non smoker.

I think that smoking should be banned, as you already know that it is harmful for the smoker as well as for the nonsmoker.The smokers should think of others too specially those who dont smoke.

now in many public places ,smoking has been banned.it is good .but it is very difficult to be banned everywhere.i think lots of men couldnot stop smoking.but pelease smoke fewer and fewer.for your health and your family ,you should do like this.

"Smoking is injuries to health " , most of us aware of this but no body undersstand what it really means, no body wants to know about that, to know this you have to realize, one day you will realize by smoking.

i think it should be banned from public places like in public transportations. there are too many men smoking in jeepneys here in the country and they really have no respect for those who smoke. i dont care if they kill themselves. they should at least have the decenc not to smoke to our faces. arggh they sure are sooo annoying! to the depths of it actually.

I don't smoke, but I don't think smoking should be banned, at least not everywhere. Although there shouldn't be smoking in some public places, especially places where children are. IMO, whatever smoking might cause, it's the smokers' right to decide whether they want to smoke or not as long as they don't smoke in those particular public places.

as many others here, yeah i smoke and i don't think it shouldn't be banned. i have my own reasons just like any other smokers. why banned it? and if they want to banned it, they could've done it earlier. if you dont want to smoke, then dont. if someones smoking beside you, go away. sorry pal, your topic would be a war. though I am not a smoker it should not be totally banned. yes it is dangerous to your health but it has its few advantage, as they say it helps them relax and think clearly. As a saying always say anything that to much is bad, Nicotine is the ingredient that makes it addictive and very dangerous to brains.It should be controlled, and there must be a place for them, smoking area with exhaust fan. Freedom should not be taken to anybody, because as God give this to us it must given to all. God Bless

Ya smoking should be banned.Because it not only bad for the smokers but also for non smokers who stand besides him.Governments also consider this issue.

I think smoking should be banned. Not because it is no good to health, but because it affects those who don't want to smoke. I believe most people who start smoking know the bad effects caused by smoking. That's fine, they know how bad it is, but they still choose to smoke. However, those non-smokers are innocent. Why do they need to suffer? Can they escape? Not impossible, but difficult. The best way to protect both smoker and non-smoker is to ban smoking.

i really do think smoking should be banned 'coz theres no good effect in smoking..what do we get here is just certain diseases that not only affects the smokers but also the persons around them and smokers should think that the persons around them are the really one whoe gets affected by the smoke and not them.

Smoking is dangerous and so smoking in public should be banned .It is not only bad for inhaler but also puts to risk the health of others who r near the smoker .

As much as i do dislike smoking and think its disgusting. I don't think anyone has the right to tell someone they can't smoke at all or even some place. Smoking bans to me are really stupid. If someone wants to smoke its their choice their body. I know second hand smoke is harmful and all but i still think a person should have the right to smoke if he or she wishes to do so.
