I feel sorry to see "china" here. I don't smoke and my father didn't smoke in all his life.Smoking is really a bad habit,it can hurt not only the smoker but also the people around he or she.
resistant smoking!

yes i do smoke and i am from india. i cant tell you the reason for me smoking but yes can surely tell you how i first tasted the slow poison.
it was when i was in the hostel around one year back that my friends were smoking and i was sitting besides them and i dont know from where the urge for smoking came in me and i took the smoke and started doing what others were, smoking. after taking in the smoke i felt everything around me very nice and was feeling all very much relaxed. and i fell back to my chair. and from this day i started smoking and am still smoking.
the nicotine in the smoke makes you addict by itself there is nothing you do to become an addict .
there was also one day when i had to take the butt of the smoke out of the dustbin and smoke.
but thanks to god that one day i realised that smoking is no good and has reduced my stamina a lot and then i quit smoking.
hope everybody on earth quits smoking.

I do not smoke myself, but my boyfriend used to smoke. He is from Australia and there pretty much everyone he knew smokes. Also he worked an outdoor job which means that he didn't have to take a break and go outside to smoke. He started smoking when he was very young, probably a lot of peer pressure. But then I thinke he just continued out of convenience, when everyone else smokes it is easier to join in then always having to explain that he has quit smoking. Now he has moved with me to Sweden, and even though there are a lot of smokers here to, not really anyone out of my friends do smoke. Also there are strict rules about where you can smoke and not and my boyfriend has quit smoking. I guess here it is more convenient not to smoke. I am very happy for him stopping smoking, it reduces risk for cancer etc but it is also a lot fresher to be together when he is not smelling and tasting of smoke all the time!
