Does Mozilla Firefox give you any problems?

I used only Internet Explore till I read a few reviews about how Firefox is the best. Well, I installed Firefox and really liked it. It has some cool features, and it is, in many ways, much better than Firefox. But, recently, I noticed that Firefox plays up whenever I try to open certain sites (don't remember them offhand, but they are popular new sites). A dialog box pops up saying that Firefox has encountered a problem and has to closed down. It is annoying when the program closes down. The only consolation is that when I try to open it again, I have a "restore session" option, which takes me right back to where I was when the browser shut down. Now, do you know why this happens? Does it happen to you? Is there any possible solution to this? Cheers and happy mylotting!

hi positive! i dont have problems with mozilla at all. in fact, i prefer using it now over internet explorer. but there is indeed one site that does not work well with mozilla, and that is another forum, make money kingdom. that is where i open it using ie. otherwise, mozilla is good for me. and somebody also told me that for a more secure surfing, mozilla is the better choice. good day and God bless you dear! have a blessed weekend! :)

FF has an add-on that will let you switch to IE right from Firefox with out opening IE. Check it out, I use it for sites that do not support FF.

Good Morning :))) I have had that happen tome on a few occasions. I only use firefox. When ever I have experienced problems with certain sites it has been because a quick time application was involved in the site itself. I have yet to figure it out, as i keep forgetting about it until it happens again. But I bet its the same thing with you and there is some kind of software conflict between firefox and an application the site is running.

I love Firefox. I tried another browser a short time ago, and it was awful. I have and sometimes use IE because some plugins only work with IE, but Firefox is definitely my preference.

I was having trouble with FIreFox, so I un-installed it and then re-installed it again and it is better now. Some sites do not support FireFox and for those you have to use IE. I added the plug-in or add-on to Firefox the will switch the tab over to IE so I can still use Firefox but use the sites that don't support it. Perhaps that is what is going on with the sites you talk about, they don't support Firefox. You should check out the add-ons. They have so many great ones I am sure you will find some you will love.

I use firefox as well but never had the kind of problem you mentioned. I know I get that kind of problem with internet explorer. May be you need to upgrade the version of firefox you are using. Also, I think you should download some plug-ins to help with playing videos and stuff.

It doesn't happen to me unless I am on windows and have a problem with flash player. I've been using firefox for over 2 years now and that is the only thing that caused it for me. Your problem might be a problem with windows or flash/shockwave player. Try re-installing firefox and update both the shockwave and flash players if they are not updated already. If you still have the problem it would be a problem with windows. Try and get an antivirus, antispyware, and a utility to clean out the junk on your computer. It should fix the problem and make your computer safer and faster. For an antivirus I would suggest AVG or if you can afford it NOD32. A good antispyware software to use is spyboy s&d. I have not found any good system clearners for free as of yet. I just use Ace Utilties from Acelogix software which is a 30 day trial but its only like $20 to buy.

I use ccleaner and have not had any trouble using it. It is free, but I can't remember where I got it. I am sure a search for "ccleaner" will bring it up. I used another cleaner and it deleted a lot of stuff I needed like the games and word, my disc drive!!!!! and several other things. I have NEVER had ccleaner take out anything I use and I have the option to not delete things if I don't want to.

I have had that happen with Firefox as well and I have also had it refuse to accept cookies even though I have cookies enabled in Firefox. I had no trouble with the same site when I opened it in Explorer.

I find Firefox far more stable than IE7 which since I have downloaded it to my windows XP system keeps freezing up and I don't seem to be able to return to IE6 which was far better. Firefox takes a while to load each day, due to all the plug-ins I have on it, but once it's up and running it's really great.. :-)

Yaa I too faced that problem sometimes.I think that is because the problem with site. Some sites contain malware or virus etc which causes the browser to not respond well.So it shuts down. But you can restore session. That's the best option present in Mozilla.

ive had it happen before but its nothing to worry about. theres probably some kind of script in the site that doesn't recognize firefox or visa versa. i wouldn't worry about it. I believe it to be a kink that needs to be worked out by the owner of the website because after a while every site i go to works just fine.

I rarely have anything like that happen to me with firefox. I have been using it for quite awhile now and it crashes once in awhile but not often enough for it to really bother me.

There are certain sites that are not compatible with firefox, so it's good to keep internet explorer installed for such sites. Though it shouldn't be shutting down like it is described in your question. Your best bet is to use internet explorer for mylot or trying reinstalling firefox.

I don't have any problems with Firefox at all since it has become my favorite browser since its first release. I will never go back using IE as I think they are using too much memories while Firefox is much lighter to use and more user friendly. Firefox is my best friend lol hehehe.

First, when that happens, especially more than once, simply pick "new session." This will allow you to go one about your biz, and just don't access that site. The only other problem I have is that sometimes, such as on personal sites, like those hosted on Angelfire or Tripod, pop-ups will still happen.

I have Firefox on my pc but I hardly ever use it. It messed up for me once and I had to remove it from my computer. I read people raving about it but I just like Explorer better and it never gives me trouble.

Hello There! Yes, before I updated the Mozilla Firefox, I was having some sort of problems on which, firefox will not be able to open certain pages then I would have to keep on refreshing the page but with Internet Explorer everything works fine. So, what i did is to try to update my firefox browser to the latest then it just started working fine. I never had a problem since then. Cheers!
