Have you ever won a lottery?

The point about lottery's is the fact that the prize is enticing but the chances of you winning a penny are not. I think the most Un-Chinese thing about me is that I don't get involved in lottery s and I don't usually gamble. I mean once in a while, my parents and step-parents would try and get me to pick numbers, which I did but we never won. I also bought a lottery ticket once when I was at university. Once in a while I would read about people who would win really big things in the lottery. However, more often than not, I usually see lines and lines of people, who were usually broke, waiting in line like they were going to church to buy their tickets. One of the most interesting experiences I've had with the side effect of lottery tickets is a friend of mine who often borrows money from me. She always pays me back with interest. I've told her that she did not have to pay me interest but I just wanted her to stop buying lottery tickets. However, she insist that she's obliged to pay me interest and she just wants to try her luck and see if life will get better. Unfortunately it never does.
