Well for depression, medicines are not solution. Do Meditation, try breathing exercise, it will help you balance and handle depression.

Nope. The fact is that most depressions go away all by themselves within a year, treated or not. Some psychiatrists believe depression should be treated for the whole life. I am not an advocate of that. I was depressed and my MD said that. He put me on Paxil and I was on it for a few years..but then I wanted OFF! He would not help me, because then I would not have to come to him again. No visits, no insurance money. In the end, I got my OWN self off the stuff and feel just fine now. I started by going down to half a pill a day from a whole one..then stayed on half every day for 2 weeks. Then I went down to a quarter of one for another 2 weeks. In the end, when I went totally off, it was THE hardest thing. I had PAXIL withdrawl! But I stuck with it and I did get off. And I would NEVER take another anti-depressant! I would wait it out and let the depression go away on its own.(What a horrible experience.) In the end..I had no need for the doctor anymore, so even though he wouldn't help, I did what I had to do. Most doctors will help if you ask. Some will not. In the end..it is up to you if you want to take this medicine or not, and up to YOU when you want to get off of it. You have too go slow? But it can be done and does NOT have to be lifelong.
