Tradition or not, I think the bullfightings in spain are just animal cruelty. The prolongued suffering of the poor animals is just terrible to watch. I don't understand how people can watch this as entertainment. Never seen a bullfight before? Click the link below to get an idea.

Look at these fools, clapping while the animal is dying.. It's so frustrating!!!

Bullfighting has been around for a long long time. It is very cruel at how the go about this. The flag is one thing but once they start with the darts it is sad and quite disturbing at times. How could a person even do this. It is sick and twisted. A bull is not a creature that you want to mess with at all. I honestly don't feel sorry for the matadors that get hurt from the bulls at all. They actually do deserve it.

I agree, when I see catching a bull a matador I always start laughing. I really don't have any pity on the matadors.

In one way it is animal cruelty, but that is only for those who weren't born into the tradition. Back then it was also entertainment to see men and woman being killed by stone. It is just a tradition. I myself like to see the bullfights but not when they kill them just when they run around. But there is also another tradition that they have which is to close all the roads in a certain area, and everybody is out on the strrets with nowhere to go . The only thing that they can do is run and alot of people die at these things. To me it is a balance.

Yeah but the stone killing eventually was discarded.. So I think the bullfights, from a logic and human view, should be discarded to. In whole history, you see several traditions (like the stone killing for example) being discarded and offered to serve higher purposes and humanity so we can call ourself "civilised". Well, I think that bullfighting doesn't fit at all in our so called "civilization".
And what balance??? A balance created by men? Bullsh*t.. When they 're closing the roads and letting the bulls run, it's not that the bulls have a choice, do they? The bulls have no other choice than running in one direction.. It's just another entertainment created by men! Well, I even enjoy watching people get overrun by bulls at this event.. It's their own fault.

I agree with you 100% I think people should start treating all animals the way they themselves would like to be treated, feel their pain, nothing or no-one should have to be put to pain..I think it is disgusting but then I also believe in what goes around comes around and that works for animal cruelty as well...
