I've been wondering about bubble bath!

This might be a strange question, but when you use bubble bath, do you just wash yourself with the bubbles, or do you use soap to wash yourself and just have the bubbles there to relax and maybe feel a bit luxurious?
I'm asking this because on the baby bubble bath we use for my daughter it says to squeeze a few drops in the bath, and that the bubble bath is gentle and cleansing. So I'm confused about whether we should just use the soapy, bubbly water to wash her or if we need to use other soap as well

I use bubble bath frequently but I always still use body wash to wash myself in the bath. I just use the bubble bath to make the water bubbley and smell good, I don't think it is really intended for washing with and probably wouldn't clean you very well.

Thanks for your answer. Yes, it was just a bit confusing because on the bottle it claims to be gentle and cleansing, and that just made me wonder. But I will be washing her off as well, just to be on the safe side!

Yes, it's true that when you're bathing in your own water it ends up dirty and probably so do you! I will definitely be showering her off now and using some mild soap as well :) Thanks for answering.

When I use bubble bath I just use it to relax in. When I'm ready to get out I wash up with my regular body wash. Sometimes bubble bath will use a residue on the skin and I like to wash it off. don't know about the kis stuff, because my daughter is sensitive to things so I don't put it in their tub.

Thanks for your answer. The bubble bath we have is made by Simple and has no artificial ingredients in so hopefully shouldn't cause any sensitivities, but I understand what you're saying as I'm allergic to lots of toiletries and wouldn't risk using bubble bath. My daughter seems not to have inherited this luckily!
It's a good point about the residue, I think it makes sense to wash that off her. I will do.
