I LOVE thrift stores. Its always a treasure hunt for me. I never know what I might find there. I dont get to go much because they are a ways from my house and everything closes so early here in the South and I work during the day. Back in the Pacific NW most stores stayed open till 9pm so I could go after work. But every chance I get Im at a thrift store. I buy clothes mostly sometimes knick knacks.

I'm a thrift store junkie! I have to force myself to stay away sometimes! "One man's trash..." you know the rest. I've decorated a large percentage of my home with "treasures" I've found in thrift stores. I collect unusual brass objects and came across something I had never seen before at GoodWill. It looked sort of like a pair of scissors, but it had a receptacle on one side and three feet to rest it on. I bought it for $.25. I did a search for something that looked similar, and found it on Ebay. It is a candle wick clipper and they were no longer made after 1837 or so. This thing is worth $450.00, at least! Yes, I'm a true believer in thrift stores! LOL

Yes, that's the best part about it. Even if you come out of the store with nothing, it was fun just being on the "hunt". But you never know! My mother refused to go to one until I showed her a suit I bought for $5.00. She loved it and, being the woman she was, she had to look at the label. I know nothing of labels, or didn't then, but my mother went nuts when she saw who made it. Evan Piccone. She had the exact same style of suit, same designer, and it cost her $150.00. I managed to pull her into a few stores after that. LOL

I'm so there with you. I love to shop at thift stores, I was actually brought up on shopping at thift stores. I say to people you never know what you can find there. I brought my son's whole bedroom set from one back home in NJ for least then $200.00 and that was about 3 yeasr ago and its still like new. It was a 6 draw dresser 2 night tables(that both have extra storage space) & an armora. So I love them. I use to go every Saturday until I moved to the south (NC). So yes I shop there faithly when I can.

There aren't any extremely close to here either but I go when I can. I used to get clothes there constantly! It does feel like a treasure hunt! Hopefully I'll have a home of my own soon to buy house things for.

I like to shop at the ones wich have antiques, like silver trays and crystal candle holders. I always end up getting these really beautiful and expensive items for like $2 a piece! Can't beat that!

I think they are interesting and I shop in them from time to time. i find I can get most clothes cheaper at stores like TJ Maxx or Rugged Wearhouse. They sometimes have some other interesting things.

Yep I love shopping at thrift stores because you find alot of nice stuff and when it comes to clothes you can find name brand clothing that was maybe worn once or twice and then their are toys and other stuff. I bought my son a baby swing in perfect condition, a walker in fantastic condition and some really really nice outfits so yep they are my guilty pleasure!
