Has anyone else peeled this summer?

Sunscreen - This is probably the exact thing I needed beroe going out in the sun that day for so long.

I recently went to the city pool with my sister-in-law, all of her children and my family. Before we headed out in the water I was too busy putting sunscreen on my husband's Elmer's Glue complexion that I forgot to put sunscreen on my own. Well, we stayed out in the blistering hot sun for three long hours before going home and now I am peeling. My poor white skin is peeling. Has anyone else peeled this summer? It sure does itch.

I usually dont burn that often. I dont really ever put sun screen on either. lol. it's quite odd. I just tan very nicely. My husband on the other hand will burn with or with out the sun screen! I just cant stand the heat for too long unless i'm swimming.

You must be a little more dark complected than us Elmer's look-a-likes'. It would be nice I could just tan perfectly in the sun because I would be out in that sun all day long. There would be no coming inside for me. I love the outdoors and it's a shame I have to practcally wear divers suit just to stay from getting burned.

I fortunately haven't had any peeling yet this summer, but I am sure that I will at some point before the summer is over! It seems like I can't really tan, but I can burn. Either I stay totally pale, or else I go straight to burning! I always hate it when that happens. I tend to burn on my face especially, so then I always feel self-conscious when it starts to peel!

That's wierd because when I tan in a tanning bed I don't have to put on any sunscreen or anything and I tan..perfectlt, but if I go out in the sun I burn. My husband can't go in a tanning bed or outside without sunscreen or his precious white skin will burn to a crisp. I slathered SPF 50 on him atleast three times that day and he still got a sunburn. I don't understand. Must be the Irish in him.

I am so easily sunburned that it makes me ill as am very carefull not to get sunburned at all.ifI must be out at the waters edge I use lotof sunscreen so I do not get burned as it actually makes me ill to get badly sunburned. use theleaves of an aloe plant for fast relief of sunburn it really does work.

Yeah, me and my husband get very sick as well when we get sunburned. So when we burn it takes out atleast two weeks of our outdoor summer fun because of the sickness and the peeling. I wish for just one day it could be hot and I could stay outside without worrying about how flaky my skin is going to get. That would be so nice. I have tried the Aloe Plant stuff and it does work, but for me it only gets rid of the itching.

No, I usually don't peel because I keep my "Elmer's Glue Complexion" in the house. I burn so bad, I don't believe that I was meant for summer. LOL

It's good that you stay in the house. I think that is the best place for us to stay so we don't cook ourselve's out in the hot hot heat. Thanks for the comment.
